on my power-pc lol i have windows xp professional. On my lpatop i brought from pc-world they installed vista ultimate. I changed that to xp within 8 hours lol I dont think im ever going to downgrade to windows vista, even though i have the windows vista disk under me computer desk

I started using the Macintosh OS almost 25 years ago and still use it to this day.

I appreciate the fact that I have never, ever installed an anti-virus program and have never had an infection of any sort on my machines.

I use Windows machines at work, so of course I have experience working on both environments.

Both the Mac OS and Windows have had their ups and downs through the years. Some times they have been slow, or unresponsive, or crashed at innoportune times.

But they have also improved drastically in each succeeding generation.

The majority of people I know have stuck with XP, saying that Vista is still too buggy. I am sure MS will iron out the bugs eventually and it will be a great operating system.

My little brother uses Linux (don't know what version) most of the time. I am not familiar enough with it to express an opinion about it.

Make sure the shadow you chase is not the one you cast.

I run ubuntu hardy beta on my laptop, ubuntu dapper drake on my server (yeah, it's old, so what), xp on mum's pc and osx on dad's pc.

Wow, mine is all horrible since upgrading to the beta. It freezes and crashes for fun when it wants and I have to hard reboot, bu t we'll see if whatever it is gets ironed out by the full release.

Edit: Also fairly surprised with the number of Ubuntu and Gentoo users.

I use Windows XP on both my desktop and laptop

BTW I bought my desktop computer a month before the launch of Windows Vista and I received a free IBM laptop bundled with the desktop. Woohoo
