I would think everyones thoughts on this matter are more or less the same, if there was any chance of a console manufacture sharing pre release information with these devs before this matter there is none at all now that you would share such sensitive information with people who would have a childish blowout like this, just really making other indies look bad when one goes off like this imo.

I hope they won't be so drastic, but I agree after this hissy fit they could become even more prudent and carefully evaluate not only talent and commitment, but also maturity of small devs before considering giving them early access to new HW or its specs. A talented but childish dev could not only leak confidential data if angry for some possibly childish reasons, but even just to brag, and console producers won't run this risk.

Aye especially not Nintendo, they felt that the Wii-U suffered a great deal from the popularity of tablet gaming which massively increased between the consoles reveal and launch, they have it in their mind that if they show off the special "gimmick" of their new system that it could be leaked and copied before they manage to bring their system to market.

And yeah... if a smaller dev signs an NDA but they've got "indie" amounts of cash in the bank, there is little that Nintendos Lawyers could sue from them if they breach the agreement.

Wait, wait, wait.  You're talking down to the developer of one of the most decorated games of last year?  You're scoffing at his "one game" on the market?  Really?

That's a really lofty opinion you have of your own knowledge of the industry.

Well, I've been part of the industry for more than a decade so if I'm talking down, it's from a perch I didn't earn just yesterday.

That aside, and more to the point than my own history, simply following the industry can tell you all you need to know about release schedules.  When was the last time that Sony, Nintendo or MS releases a home console during the same year it was unveiled? The fact no unveiling happened in 2015 pretty much guaranteed a release date beyond 2016 if home console conventions are held.

I hope you're hungry, cause I have a feeling you're in for a massive dish full of crow, Mr. Industryman

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.
