Forums - General - VGChartz Virus!?

Try using your ps3. If that doesn't work either call your isp , if it does then it is your computer that is the problem. I reccomend downloading avg from a friends computer or a spare computer, and running a scan.

Edit: I forgot to add if all fails, backup your hdd , and reinstall windows.

>_> <_< MAC FANBOIS! I think I should buy a Mac when I grow up and can afford my own computers so I don't have to deal with viruses like Windows...

By then there will be so many users on macs that the number of viruses would be around the same as windows. Linux>all

I blame Wii Fit.

What does Linux do? No hax0rz?

Linux is a set of operating systems superior to all others. It's freeware , and there is even a version of linux where you could make your own operating system. If windows wasn't the main platform for games I would have linux as my primary operating system right now. I still could use wine , but that is too much work.

Edit: this is getting off topic. I'm like the only one who actually tried to help username , and me and him always get into arguments. So if you guys aren't going to post relevant posts to the thread just don't post.

Well at least you didn't go to download a driver for some mic's and accidentally shut the whole office for 2 days, with some virus.

Yeah I was like Ooops my bad.

The virus was awesome though it was a trojan and opened access to who ever hacked it. And they kept openning random audio on the computers intially freaking everyone out. And then you couldn't open task manager, would only open one site on the internet. It completely limited what you could run.

Yeah that sucked

"Back off, man. I'm a scientist."

Your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable! You are a poor scientist. Especially if you think the moon landing was faked.

Does it block viruses? What are it's other uses? Can I download it now with no troubles?

It is an operating system like windows , and mac. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux Imo it is better than all other operating systems.

ALso it is incorrect to say mac's and linux users don't get virus. They do just not as many as windows. Windows is the main operating system with a far larger userbase than the other two. This means that there are more people to make these viruses for it leading to more viruses.

Um username did you do what I recommended. Are you still there?

I'm getting the idea that this thread was a joke thread. Sorry for responding.

No it wasnt, for about 15 minutes the only site I could go to was VGcharts in Firefox and IE, but it's back to normal now, I don't know what was wrong, but it seems to be fixed now.
