Provided you had low expectations the Wii U's library has been solid every year

lol yeah I did that is kinda my point. I am pleasently surprised I didn't expect anything to excite me until the NEW zelda

Sorry but I just can't agree. 3 games, no matter how good they may or may not be, just isn't enough to say it looks good to me. For me to say a lineup looks good it's really gotta have at least 2 good looking games a month. That's at least 24 a year which isn't far off 10 times what the Wii U is getting this year. Not saying I buy that many new games, although I used to, but it's nice to have multiple good games to choose from at various times throughout the year and it's also nice to miss out on some so you can get them later on in a sale or something.

Is there a console that achieves your high standards?

It's line up this year looks pretty similar on paper to its other years?

First half of 2016 how many new games are there? Pokken and star Fox. Am I missing anything?

Twilight Princess HD the 4th od next month, and Shin Megami X Fire Emblem in summer. All could be considered relatively soon.

Just give a Paper Mario game as good as 64/TTYD and is going to be on par with the other years!

It's ok but nothing special.

SMT X fire emblem may come this spring, twilight princess HD comes out next month, like a mario and sonic game in june, dont care for that one personally though.

Perhaps things are not as bad for the Wii U as I thought.

An HD remake, Tekken with Pokemon skins, Star Fox, and Zelda. Three notable games and a port.

Geeze, how low were your expectations to begin with?

These horrible words are echoing in my mind and bringing me endless pain. I don't think I'll ever recover from this.

Yeah, I agree with you xDDD

A lot of these games interests me, but not enough for me to get Day 1.. or even on sale for that matter

Zelda U and #FE are the ones I'm most interested in, but I am keeping my eye out for the other games

Maybe it is a bit high, but looking at the PS4 lineup this year I can count at least 11 games I'd consider good from Jan-July. That's only 1 off 2 per month which could potentially be made up for in the 2nd half of the year. Of course different people may have different definitions of a 'good' game. But hey, I'm only talking from my own perspective.

For me to consider something good it has to be at least above average and 3 good games a year simply isn't above average. Maybe that number will be higher by the end of the year, you'd expect at least Zelda U to release so that would make it 4. But what else will there be? Given that Nintendo's focus will likely be on NX games now regardless of whether it's a 2016 or 2017 release I don't expect there will be that much more.

I'm not expecting that much more from Nintendo during 2016. I personally don't think there was any year where I had more than 10 games I was really itching to play. I would still agree that the current 2016 lineup for Wii U is okay at best.
