Man, the PS1 was great. My friend and I played his PS1 so much when we were younger. Then we would go to my house and play my N64.
If you're trying to expand your collection, try ebay. The truly rare can be very expensive though.

Yep I know, I got Alundra and Legend of Legaia from the UK, not cheap. I want to have Tombi but that game is outrageous expensive.

I've actually downloaded those games from the PSN, along with Crash Team Racing and Destruction Derby, so I can play them using remote play on my PSP.
The graphics in Cool Boarders really haven't aged well. The character models look like clunky lego men, and the background pop-up is terrible. Still entertaining though, even after all these years.

Suikoden 1&2, but especially 2 are rare RPGs. They're so expansive on Amazon and Ebay! O_O They're amazing games though... I wish I could have a complete Suikoden collection.
Got Suikoden 2 European, bought for only about 25 Euro new and sealed about 5 years ago. Suikoden 1 I have the Japanese version which is for a bargain new, but indeed... in Europe / US that game cost a fortune, but not as much as a Valkyrie Profile *wow*. Lot of RPG's are getting ridiculous expensive in the US and Europe after a while, so its grab it while you can.

I may not be a fan of Sony's business practices, but I am certainly a fan of their first two PlayStation systems. The original PlayStation got me back into console gaming after having skipped the entire 16-bit era, which deserves some serious kudos. Though it is funny to note that just about every PS1 game I own is either an RPG, made by SquareSoft, or quite frequently both.

Iron... you can get a original copy of FF9 in www.cduniverse.com And cheap !!!
I love all my FF games, even those in Psones. I am still today playing FF7-8 and 9 |
Thanks for the link. I just found some old PS1 CDs in the attic. I'm quite surprised my favorites were'nt sold, except FF9.... :C
If your a fan of both the Ogre Series and the Final Fantasy Series you have to pick up Tactics Ogre.
It's part of the Ogre series and it was such a good game Square bought off most of the team to make it Final Fantasy Tactics.
You can see all the stuff they ripped from it to make FF Tactics pretty easy.
I really liked the PS1... but looking back on it my favorite 4-5 games on it were SNES ports.
Ogre Battle, Tactics Ogre, Final Fantasy 6, Chrono Trigger(worse then the SNES version but still CT.) FF4, FF5. Well that's 6.
Wait Front Mission was PS1 wasn't it? Or was that PS2. PS1 it'd be right up their ahead of FF 4 and 5.

I love some of the games on Playstation, Tekken 3 is still one of the best fighting games ever, I still think Crash Bandicoot 2 is the best platform ever. DD2 and WipeOut 2097 are both awesome. Not forgetting FF7, 8 and 9. Which I still re-play.
I play PS1 games alot, I have fond memories of a lot of games, played through demos or otherwise and even try and buy one I never got round to owning due to the fact I was a kid and never had a job to buy stuff with. I'm hoping PSN Shop comes out with a few more then they have as I'm wait for some great games to come out on it.
Hmm, pie.
