Still doesn't stop others from judging you, that's just a fact of life. You can spend whatever money you want and neglect it to the high heavens but it's not going to stop someone like me saying "hey you're wasting your money, you should probably better yourself or at least use your money wisely". What you said does make sense but like I said before, it does not stop any and all judgement let alone observation from someone else.
A lot has changed, the hardware, the prices, the way we game in terms of peripherals, gamepad evolutions, the online gaming, digital gaming is huge on PC compared to consoles, that's a big difference and change with the platform like it or not. What you consider small and insignificant makes no great difference, the fact of the matter is time has changed a lot of things, for PC a lot has changed, yes consoles have changed as well (I see we're now reaching that point in a debate where we must mirror and put things as 50/50 equals), but to a point where they only go so far, each gen they are stuck to a specific defined piece of kit. With PC's, hardware evolves around the clock all the time. Years ago hardware was insanely expensive and the upgrades were beefy, now we're getting smaller sized hardware, mini desktop builds, better cooling, 4k res jump (consoles will be stuck at 1080p for some more years).
I was pointing out that mobile phones as being part of technology have advanced a lot in the last 15 years the same way PC's have, lets not deviate.
Again you're deviating from the main point. I was generally referring to neglecting an investment whether it be on food or a product. I don't know why you're now telling me we should take it to off topic considering my question was aimed at someone else and not you, but you stepped in to tell me otherwise. I take it this is the end of discussion part, or are we going to stretch this further based on what I've said and deviate even further to the point where you go "what are you talking about?".

Of course you are free to judge others. If we were not allowed to, we wouldn't have that many discussions in general.
Again, of course I see how technology changes, I am using PCs every day. Just leave out the gaming part but I know what's happening technically. But when it comes to actual gaming, in my opinion there weren't really substantial changes made to PC gaming. It's always "bigger, faster, better" but calling that substantial is subjective, to me it isn't.
Of course PC evolves all the time, slower right now than before, but still it does. But for example I actively chose a 360 because in my free time, I just want to boot the console and play a game. I can do that on PC? Yes, but I don't want to and I won't in the foreseeable future.
I am still happy with my 360, have a huge backlog on this console and enjoy my time with it. Everyone is free to experience the same with any other device.
So, now back to work at work (which is a Dell Laptop, equipped with 4 cores and a fast SSD. And an Intel GPU which is totally sufficient for my needs ;)).
