It's a waste of time, money, and resources as there are other games that would make consoles move much faster than a Zelda U port.

It's hilarious to hear people say that Zelda U port is gonna sell all these systems, lol.

you should consider that twilight princess sold 7m copies on wii and like 2m on gamecube. so if the NX is a success for other reasons, people are going to buy zelda cause "hey, it's on nx and I have one"

Exactly as long as they release it on Wii U nintendo can do whatever they want.

I feel sorry for you guys. Insider Bobby Beaver told me that Zelda was moved to NX altogether in order to force Wii U owners to upgrade. However, Nintendo isn't all evil, so they'll offer disgruntled Wii U owners who don't want to upgrade a free digital copy of Metroid Prime: Federation Force. The obvious catch is that you will have to have a 3DS to play it.

Holding Zelda ransom would only strengthen my decision not to buy an NX.

Honestly, if I would be forced to buy an NX or receive a free copy of Federation Force, I would go with NX. That's why Nintendo's plan is so fabulous.

If I had a copy of Federation Force though, I could have the satisfaction of dousing it in kerosene and sending it back to the pits of hell from whence it came.

I agree with everything Rol has been saying whilst I been sleeping haha.

Now to add what is this weak argument about it being too difficult?

Not too difficult. Will take to many time. Nintendo didnt even managed to give the wii u good software support in the past 3,5 years. And now they should waste time and port a game that nobody needs (because it will be on wii u anyway).

They did give it good support. The only difference is there was practically zero third party support. This is why you notice Nintendo is lacking games.

Look at Micrososft and Sony. Most their big hits are third party games or ports from last gen.

One Developer cannot do it all, unless Nintendo triples their workforce, then perhaps, but don't forget the bigger the company the culture also changes.

Digital copy, curl. Digital.

I suppose I could always set my 3DS on fire.

TBH they should move it to NX.

Yes their will be whinges and meltdowns all over the internet but lets face it in the end they will buy the hardware because that is what Nintendo fans do.

I remember when I went to the launch of the new 3ds people behind me were whinging about Nintendo releasing face plates and digital wall papers and how they cost so much. Then 10mins later whilst the que moved slowly, they said "oh well i'll buy this one and that one" and picked them as they moved up the que lol.

Even fans have a limit for the amount of horseshit they will tolerate.

Screwing over Wii U owners, which comprise the core Nintendo loyalists who stuck with them through thick and thin, could bite them in the arse hard. If they estrange what little remains of their dwindling fanbase, NX would be an even bigger flop than Wii U, and Nintendo's days as a hardware manufacturer would be over.

So you're saying LoZ only has the ability to move consoles when it's a console launch title? I'm not entirely following.

Definitely moves much more consoles like launch title than when arrives on already dead platform.

But how can a platform be dead if it still has a AAA title releasing on it?

^this. Nintendo can do what they want, and there will be money to be made by releasing it on two platforms instead of one. But how much money, and are they willing to step on their current fanbase to do so. IF they are, the NX better have something as revolutionary as motion controls were when they came out or Nintendo will be in deep, DEEP crap.

Nintendo doesn't want to force a hardcore Zelda fan to have to choose between buying a Wii U or an NX. Frankly, I don't want them to have to either.

On a side note, if you own Nintendo stock, and they don't release an NX version of Zelda, sell all of your shares immediately.
