Forums - Gaming - If Nintendo,MS,Sony agreed on One Console standard for nextgen, and shared exclusives. Who would come out on top?.

"Lets say Sony, Nintendo and MS all agreed to a set of standards for what a VGC(Video Game Console) would be."

They wouldn't.

Actually Nintendo spends more than MS and SONY when it comes to marketing.

Are you sure about that?

Because if it's true, Nintendo should think what they are doing, because I see a lot more ads from Sony than from MS and Nintendo combined.

Yeah there was a thread like December last year showing how much they spend. I could look for it and link it to you if you would like.

Sony would win because their name on Hardware stands for quality

I honestly think its more of a issue with "trust" , than precived quality.

This is essentially a question of which brand name logo would people prefer on their console. Maybe who could design the best looking console.

I think the PS4 is the best "design" in terms of looks outta the 3.

I think it's the XONE... it might have to do with the chrome led and the console being wider than it is deep, but I find it more aesthetically refined than the more plastic looking PS4... I also sort of hate the stupid ridges and slanted sides...

Phil Spencer: "I have great news guys! Thanks to IRS crap, I have a sizable bag of money in my hands that I don't know what to do with. Now please, in an orderly fashion, line up in one straigh-"

Kaz and Reggie: *Throw themselves at Phil*

Phil: "What the?! EEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHH!"

I also prefer the xbox one design just because it looks big.

No, no, you don't have to.

But it's weird how Nintendo can be the biggest spender and yet have such poor results.

Well it worked out for 3ds but not wii u. I remember going to the cinema a few months ago and seeing a Yoshi woolly world commercial and the game did well. I think its that there's still many people that think the wii u is an add on so they won't get it unless Mario Kart or something heavily advertised or big comes out.

Well, if people think that Wii U is nothing more than a Wii add on is because Nintendo did a terrible job with its marketing, which only makes it harder to understand how they spend their money in marketing.
