Even if there is only one console and it has 250m sold consoles and all the best games, there will always be some shmuck out there that decides to make their own console and pretend like it's the best thing ever made.

I don't really get how this would work

If they all make the same console that can play all games, why would they bother making the console in the first place? All are the same and will compete so it's basically a loss for everyone?

I guess PS4 would win though, to answer the question
