If the point of the review is to inform people about whether or not they should buy the game, you can't inform people about whether they should buy conquest by playing Birthright, because you can't really say anything about whether or not the difficulty is too unforgiving for newer players. If you have to play both to be able to review them, then it makes perfect sense to review them separately. |
Exactly. Just because it's same universe and cast (and timeline) doesn't mean its the same. Especially when one game represents casual and the other traditional

I don't think so. They're different games, that's why they're reviewing them this way. It's a similar case than LoZ: Oracle of Seasons/Ages, which are different games and deserve their own score. Not sure about Revelations, I don't know what's different about it xDDDD. And many people are making that mistake, I don't know if it's about not knowing what the games are about or what xDDD
