Where do you go from a galaxy wide event which is basically the end of all life? You go to a different galaxy.
I'm worried about this, they say it takes place a long time after the ME trilogy yet according to design, nothing has changed, the human race has gone from fighting with 6 shooters to automatic rifles in less than a decade but the technology in ME world halted at the end of ME3? Still has N7 on their armour? They are going to an entire new galaxy (god knows how) and we have the same races as before?
When I say worried I mean from a story telling perspective. I'm not sure how Bioware are are doing recently with writers, losing some for example. DA:I's writing was not the best and lost the personal touch in exchange for 'world annihilation'. I mean ME2's story and character interactions were far superior to nearly everything in ME3 (omitting the heart wrenching choice in the Genophage 'renegade' choice). I think they are making ME:A based on success of ME series but didn't know how to do it after the ending of it.
If the main character ends up being called 'Shepard' (because he/she is bringing them to a new galaxy).

The more removed the better in my view. That series ended with a choice and one of those choices was kill everyone... wasn't it?
Hmm, pie.

only earth is trapped in a red force field!!, So you must go around and trade in spice and and talk to a bunch of aliens and try to free the planet and stuff like that All ties together pretty good imo xD. |
... He who contols the spice controls the universe?
That's actually something I could see them doing.
Hmm, pie.

Pretty much they found some anchent thing in that part of the galaxy so they sent a ship with a bunch of people on it to go check it out. The effects of the first 3 mass effect games happen and now them people are stranded in the andromeda galaxy with no way back!. Except what they find is a Ship so they make the planet their own and rebuild the ship so they can get back to earth. only earth is trapped in a red force field!!, So you must go around and trade in spice and and talk to a bunch of aliens and try to free the planet and stuff like that All ties together pretty good imo xD. |
Or, in a more conventional an easier to explain story, after the Reapers appear in the Milky Way and the different civilizations face the first defeats, a series of Ark ships are build and filled with members of the different races in our galaxy and then send them to Andromeda in hopes of at least some of them escaping the sad fate of the rest.
Also, given that the Mass Reles were destroyed after the Evens of ME 3, we haven't been able to go and rescue them.
That will also explain why their tech isn't super advanced, because they have been on stasis during all the travel and have had little time to research new tech, and why we will see new but also old faces.
Please excuse my bad English.

Even the Reaper's didn't seem to have the technology to journey the 2.5million light years required, they hibernated outside the Milky Way until it was time to 'harvest' again (every 50,000 years). The Protheon's were far more advance than any race in ME and they didn't do that either.
Of course, this is the most likely outcome. Sadly.

Well, we don't know if the Protheon did it or not. Maybe they were still travelling when the events of Mass Effect took place.
And the Reapers story has many holes in it, and that is one. If they want to preserve "life" or civilizations by turning them into Reapers, why didn't they go and do that in the other galaxies as well?

Its likely that bioware just wanted to focus on the milky way, though there's no way of knowing this. We'll just have to wait and see.
Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Rumours...
![]() Ahhh yes... the golden gem for unreleased games. When we can't stand not knowing, we look everywhere for even the tinyest information that may still be false. Now before you look through this, it could contain story details. While it isn't concrete, it doesn't mean it isn't factual. So I do warn if you guys don't want to know anything about the game till launch, look away....

Poll:
Are you excited for Mass Effect Andromeda?
Yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
----------------------------------------------------------
Now as I stated before, this is just fraction of what is to come. As stated, this thread will start small, and grow from there. I will start posting almost daily here by E3, and I do expect the news to come fast! The hype levels continue to grow, and hopefully I'm not disappointed!

No such thing bud.
I look forward to getting more news and building my excitement.
I hope they improve on the semi-open world concept of Dragon Age Inquisition. If every world you visit has areas as large (but with more content) as the largest Dragon Age Inquisition areas with no area transitions that would be a good foundation.

The Reapers had no interest in other galaxies, their mandate was to keep the Milky Way "stable". Protheans were arrogant enough to think they could actually beat the Reapers, they weren't interested in running away. And then they found out they couldn't beat the Reapers, and they came up with a different running away idea, i.e. hibernating in secret; which didn't work
I don't think the "because no one did it before the technology doesn't exist" is a good argument. When you have a lore that includes FTL travel you pretty much have carte blanche for being able to travel at least to other galaxies in the local cluster.
I don't think there should be a series of Ark ships. There should be one ship that was experimentally designed as an intergalactic voyager, as a joint venture undertaken by all council races, that was going to travel unmanned. But with the Reapers showing up they decided that a manned mission was worth the risk.

Rumours are all we have right now. Bioware has done a good job remaining hush hush. I just wanted to start this before someone else took it.
