Single player had issues as well. It released very broken but reviewed well.

No, single player wasn't broken. I'm not denying there were some bugs here and there, but not broken.

And again, MCC did take a hit for its issues. Had it launched proper, it might have scored in the 90s.

They're two separate sentences.  Anyhow, I've moved on like asked to do.

Halo MCC had a shit load of content. You're talking about 4 games with different engines and a remake of Halo 2 from the ground up all being played at 60 fps with new multiplayer modes. Yes, there was issues, but the content was too much. Halo MCC did take some hits, but people knew the potential once online was fixed and bugs were patched. SF5 there is no known potential because we're not seeing anything regarding single player content down the road. We just have faith. Capcom should've known that fighting games already lack content by default because its just 1v1. The fact they don't even have the basics is very disrespectful.

Crossed out the MCC stuff since we're moving on. ;)

The bold/underlined isn't entirely true. Arcade Mode is supposed to be coming back, for example. I agree with you that it should have been there from the start, and it is a tad disrespectful for it to be omitted (unless they can give us a good reason), but that doesn't mean the potential isn't there.

I know I might get into a little trouble, but I was comparing it to MCC. MCC, we already see the singleplayer and everything. Just need to fix some of the bugs. Where as SF5 arcade mode, we don't really know how it is going to hold up.

It's Arcade Mode. It should hold up just fine (theoretically), since, I doubt, there is any server activity attached to it.

This is capcom we are talking about :/

Makes you wonder how something as simple and classic as that didn't go into the vanilla version of SF5.

I posted to your wall if you want to discuss the OT stuff.

As for SFV I never said it didn't deserve to get dinged, I merely pointed out I understand how some could see other reasons for it due to lack of consistency in reviews which will always be the case.

@ Puggs: Yep, that works. :)

OT: Just started playing the game. About the only gripe I have is a lack of Arcade Mode (even though I had already heard that was missing). Nothing else really bugs me like that - I don't play online very much and Survival is pretty good!

Arcade would have been nice to help pad the game out. Because the AI in story mode is too easy.

I often use Player vs CPU in KI as a quick play and when I want to use various characters. Im surprised SFV didnt launch with that.

Frankly, there is a lot of little thing in SFIV this lacks. When you start noticing that SFV continues to disappoint. SFIV set the bar so high and SFV started low.

These review scores are slightly misleading, SFV is a fighting game and with fighting games there's one things that matters way more than anything else and that's how well it plays when you're fighting, and from almost everybody I've spoke to and read about say the actual fighting gameplay is brilliant, they say the controls work perfectly and feels really fluid and smooth. It's getting a minus 80% score simply because it's mainly an online game at the moment, but people arnt going to read into this and just think it's a completely bad game.
I understand capcom is to blame for this and they had it coming but it seems a tad bit bad that it's going to give people the wrong impression of the game.

They always are, it is not like a fighting game with a higher metacsore will be more fun for ya.

I just like impressions from people I know, happy console gamer is one of them:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkaIXlOMCrY

That is a really good honest review. So even he says it's the best a stree fighter has ever played and that's coming from a die hard fan of the series.

SFIV, to me, wasn't as enjoyable. Despite the lack of modes, SFV's core gameplay is better. Tighter. Feels much like Street Fighter III, which is a huge plus (a step back that SFIV took).

They all feel tight to me.

But gameplay isnt why SFV is scoring low. Its the lack of features. Thats why this game is a 7/10 in my eyes. KI deserved a 7 for lack of content even though its fantastic.
