Forums - Nintendo - Each version of Fire Emblem Fates does not have as much content as Awakening.

This is actually the sole reason that im not buying Fates.I hate not being able to have the full experience in one game(cartridge).

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

There are also some Jobs/Classes that are unique to different versions of Fates, but I haven't quantified them because they're so few.

http://fireemblem.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_classes_in_Fire_Emblem_Fates - Looking at this list, there seems to be quite a huge difference

You can! You either:

- Get the Special Edition

- Buy and download the other versions as DLC

That splitting-content bussiness is going to get them a lot of bad rep in the long run. I don't know why are they doing this, considering Awakening saved the franchise, and it could go back to being endangered just as fast. I hope Nintendo prints enough special editions, because people are going to want to get the full game in one cartrige.

From VGChartz, Fe:A in Japan sold 520k! While FE: Fates sold 510k! But VGChartz doesn't count digital sales. Sooooo...... The sales would be much higher if we combined the other versions sales when people download it as dlc.

From Famitsu Retail Only

Fire Emblem Fates - 538.669

From Media Create Retail Only

Fire Emblem Awakening - 481.865

The problem is that either the Special Edition is sold out or is considerably expensive. And I prefer physical over digital, to the point that I dont buy games digitaly if they have a physical version, even if I cant find that physical version

Ahhhh! I see what you mean. Hopefully Nintendo would release a "Definite" package in the future like the special edition (But without the art book and the other stuff. Just the game) And maybe if you still want to play it by that time.

I think what they did with this game is really scummy and greedy, but I love Fire Emblem too much to care and I'll be getting the special edition day one, along with the Special Edition New 3DS XL. I guess Nintendo knew there were plenty of people like me where they could take advantage of us like this.

and with people like you they can continue the practise.

I'm well aware of that, but I'm only paying $64 for Fates comparted to the $40 that I payed for Awakening for about 60% more content, so it's well worth it for me.

Flawed out logic here.... Edit: too string here lol my bad! I meant some things missing...

What if I told you conquest is superior and worth the price? Basically less content (because it doesn't have grinding feat aka extra maps) but overall Quality is way beyond awakening and Birthright?

There is a number of things not accounting here, despite you making good arguments...

Well thats because you were fortunate enough to get the Special Edition. Others might not be so lucky.

Anyway, I dont really care that much since I dont play FE games. Many FE fans dont seem to mind, so Ill shut up.
