Ok so then you just admitted that all of the points you made were false. Excellent! We are on the same page.
Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

What are you on about?. 1st, Point out where i said that any of them games wasnt great??. 2nd, re read my post again slowly so you understand what i am saying. 3rd, Like i said before this isnt about only PC getting exclusive games from consoles. Its about exclusives going away completely on every system. Unless your trying to really say PC has no exclusives console gamers would like to play??. 4th, Now please also explain what you mean about Typical PC Gamer, cos this here is pretty much like saying Typical PC fanboy since you have giving no explanation to this Post. It would be pretty much the same as me replying to someone with random bullshit, that had nothing to do with their post. And then saying Typical Sony Gamer, What Sony gamer, what Sony gamer wouldnt want PC, Nintendo and Xbox exclusives. So tell me whats this typical PC gamer you speak of??.And btw i have 2 PS4's in this house now and plan on getting a Slim once they come out. So playing Sony exclusives isnt a problem for me this gen and has never been any other gen since i've owned e 5th. Wasnt you saying how its a good job if xbox exclusives keep going to PC since you wont have to buy one??. Whats the difference with xbox games and any other systems games??. I mean unless you hate xbox, wouldnt you think it was a good job for all exclusive games to go to PC (you said you owned a powerful one cos you no longer need an xbox1) since you then would only need the one system??. Wouldnt the same be true if you only owned a PS4, and could get to play them xbox exclusive games without having to buy a top end PC or another console?. But do explain whats the difference here and try not to ignore this post. |
Games would lose quality if was PC Only, we would lose Triple A Games, we would lose all the quality franchises, would all became like the PC Market, for 8 Years, the only game played on PC, was World of Warcraft, now the Only game played on PC, is League of Legends, the PC, just have place for 1 Game per time.
The PC Triple A Games, had to launch for the Consoles to have some Sucess, even the developers of The Witcher 3, said that if was not because of the Consoles, The Witcher 3, would not be a So Huge, and Good game, because they would not have the Budget, and making all only for PC, does not means that all the sales from the tittles would go for PC, maybe even 95% of the Gamers that had a console, would end up playing League of Legends.

Point out where i said games should be PC only??. No where did i say that!. But to the rest of your post (Even if it has nothing to do with what i was talking about). Are you saying that the current games that's PC only has no quality??.. Do you also believe that only "Triple A" titles = quality?? so indies dont matter at all??. Also many 3rd party devs even on console went multiplat this gen and last gen. So would games like MGS5 if it didnt go multiplat of been gimped back??, how about the other number of games that went 3rd party and ended up on the PC this gen??. Now this last part of your post clearly takes the biscuit and shows just how much you know about PC gaming (Something you clearly shouldnt be commenting on), Go to Steamspy and type in GTA5, Now type in Xcom2, Now go look up how much Star Citizin has made.. Now go look at Steams best sellers list you see how many classic games are still there??. Go look at my steam profile, i guess them 400+ games thats not WoW or LoL dont count??, ya know since PC gamers dont play anything else.... This would be like me saying console gamers dont play anything other then CoD and Fifa so anything else needs PC to survive.... In other words that would be a pretty dumb thing to say, since we all know that isnt true just like we know what you say isnt true.. |
Xcom, Star Citzen, and others are good games because are Triple A Games.
Do you know that the numbers are pathetic don't you ?, and a research already said that Steam, counts for over 70% of the Digital distribution of games for PC, if Consoles, became avaliable on PC, no one would ever purchase a console, a Computer would be much better and would run all the exclusives on much better quality tham having to purchase 3-4 Different consoles.
GTA V, 2015's Biggest release on PC, nearly Out-sold the second place for over 2 times the sales, and the Revenue was 205 Millions of US$, meanwhile the Console Version, with Digital Purchase, and DLC, made 330 Millions just with Digital Money, without retail, in the same year.
if GTA V, gave 205 Millions of Revenue, and is nearly 2 times the second place, the second place was Fallout 4, with over 150-160 Millions on Revenue, the game made more than 480 Millions of Revenue on Consoles alone, because of that they have Console Version.
Now look at MapleStore, a game from the Early 2000's, made 600-700 Millions on Revenue, World of Warcraft, over 1 Billion, League of Legends over 1.8 Billion, Dota, over 250 Millions, CS Go, over 270-280 Millions.
The only game on the Top 10 on PC, is GTA V, that is Miles ahead of Fallout 4, on Sales, and the Console Versions, are Miles ahead on Sales, even on 2015's Sales.
If all the games were on PC, Developers would stop of making Triple A Games, and would just make Indie, Moba, or MMORPG, i don't know if you know, but only 1 game can be the Spotlight on PC, the others cannot, and is because of that, that All the PC Games, that want to became Triple A, launch on consoles, to have the Budget to make it, because the Consoles, have a Much bigger market than the PC, for Triple A Games.
Is hard to understand that Exclusives do Move Hardwares, and are the Most Important thing on Consoles ?, and that just Microsoft, don't want to Push Hardware, because they have Poor numbers worldwide, and already are having YOY Drop, on the Only country that they sell ?, they only want to make Profit, and for this they will have to put the Xbox's Hardware sales on the Last Plan, they just don't care to push the console.
If Microsoft, did not announced Quantum Break, for PC, and if was Sony, or Nintendo, to announce, Uncharted, or Zelda, for PC, they would say that the Console was Doomed, that Xbox One, would close the gap, that they would exit the Console Market, and a lot of other things.
Don't let Microsoft, trick you, Games are what sells consoles, and Exclusives, are the most quality games, so they sell the Most Hardware.

I don't think anyone would say PS4 is doomed or X1 would close the gap if Sony was to release Uncharted for PC..
I also don't see how Microsoft is tricking anyone thinking games don't sell consoles. Spencer has been all about games. Will be interesting to see how these PC releases will affect X1 sales and is console exclusivity enough to maintain steady sales. Not to mention how interesting it is to see where MS is going with this, I'm excited!

Some users are Stateing that Exclusives don't move consoles, we are with this for over 1 Week, all because of Quantum Break's Reveal, so for some users, because Microsoft, is releasing games for PC, means that Exclusives don't sell consoles, and that They really never was something important.
Alan Wake, had a Huge PC Community, bigger than Xbox 360, that would purchase a Xbox One, for Quantum Break, and now they don't need it.

I don't think anyone said exclusives don't move consoles. However, a game doesn't need to be exclusive to move hardware. Multiplat games also move hardware. We see sales spikes all the time when consoles get games that are exclusive or otherwise.
Alan Wake had modest sales in spite of being exclusive to 360 for almost 2 years. Putting it on PC simply made the IP more popular to an audience that didn't want to play it on 360.
While something like Left 4 Dead launched on both PC and 360 at the same yet still found great success on 360. Sigificantly more success than many exclusive games.
You think in black and white. You see QB on PC and to you that means everybody that wants to play is gonna buy a high end PC instead of a X1. In reality, there is no guarantee that game will move a lot of hardware and people accustom to consoles rather play it on a console. QB will ultimately have more success as a PC/X1 release then X1 alone. Also, its Microsoft Store exclusive so a lot of PC users will ignore it.

Exclusives, consoles exclusives, and multiplats are all important.
As you might notice, the best selling games on Xbox and Playsation inparticular fall in all those categories.
One of PS4's most anticipated games ever launched on PC the same day. But for some reason QB hitting the Microsoft Store the same day has caused a lot more discussion.

Why get a console instead of a PC? I don't get why people think that the only difference between playing on a console or a PC is only because of the games. |
Its the most important difference between a console and a PC. Even the PC has exclusives like Starcraft
| walsufnir said: Amazing to see how many people "intended" to buy an Xbone... If only MS knew before! Seriously, for ages now it has been said that consoles make the most money off the software, not the hardware. Releasing games on more platforms is a good decision for gaming. Of course you can also see that is negative but strangely this is more coming from people who probably would've never bought an Xbone. Like at all. |
Why not releasing it on PS4 then? to make even more money with larger install base?
zero129 said:
I dont think they really care, as long as you are using one of their platforms its all the same to them since they still getting your money.. |
It wont be as profitable as people buying it on Xbox One. MS wont see Xbox Live money or platform roaylties from Multiplats, most people buy their PC games from steam
