Forums - Nintendo - Why not re-release MP1 and 2 bundle for Wii?!

Im about 1.30 into the original Metroid Prime and thats as far as i ever care to get, why would Nintendo waste there time redoing this when they wont even give us a good quality 2.5D metroid.

Perhaps because it's widely considered to be one of the best games of the entire last gen?

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Didnt they ad wii controls to MP2 as a demo for the wii before its release at E3 or TGS one of the years prior to the release of the wii? I mean im sure they could code it fairly easily.

Actually, I found the one weakness of Prime 3 was that it exposed the Wiimote's greatest flaw: Not enough easily accessible thumb buttons.

I loved the ability to switch between so many different weapon types in Prime 1. But the Wiimote doesn't really allow for that very well, which is why we simply had our cannon upgrade.

Getting Prime 1 & 2 to work would probably be much more difficult than it seems.

I see four easily accessible thumb buttons there, two of which are actually used by Metroid Prime 3 for weapons. I don't think lack of buttons is the reason why the cannon upgrades.

That would be sweet, but I don't see it happening.

@Stof: I have a few solutions to the thumb button problem, you can map it the same way that the Visor was handled in MP3, you open a menu, select the weapon by pointing at it and then back to the fight or you can map the weapon change to a button that then requires you to select it using the analog stick in a circle like config.

Lack of buttons isn't an issue if you come up with an easy solution.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

Did you see my post above? I think using the directional buttons is simple and good enough, especially since the lower one is already used for missiles.
