Those Sonic udders can never catch a break.

I'd wish they just continue Sonic SatAM at this rate. That alone would make actual people happy, over this junk, that's gonna fail. I wouldn't be surprised they'll use the "updated" designs in this movie.

As for this movie... Jesus why is all I can say, Animation/Real life hybrid, is just the Sonic 06 bizarre looking cutscenes.

I'm kind of terrified to see the final result.

I mean there are some IPs that could work well in a live action film. Maybe something along the lines of Halo, Zelda, Metroid, Metal Gear- Sonic is not what comes to mind

if you're going to do it I would suggest a fully animated film. mixing animation with real world video is difficult. 

at any rate Sonic games (and even the cartoon or whatever) are not mega strong on storyline, I'm not sure how effective this could be 

a Street Fighter tournament sort of film could be really cool if they went kind of campy with it and didn't try to 'normalize' all of the characters too much

its like the same vain of a Mario movie concept- people love the character and games but NOBODY wants to see a Mario movie. Sonic and Mario do not have great backgrounds in terms of story and depth. They're simple- go get the bad guy and beat em'. that sort of thing is hard to translate to film because you can't just do action scene after action scene 

I don't see Zelda working live action. Gannon, levels, Link's items, and all the minons would start clashing with the live action elements. I'd change that to Portal. The Sonic (SatAM) cartoon from 1993 is a good one, that did a story for him. That could be a movie. If they used that and made this CGI only. It could work.
