Actually, there are bans and rstrictions on knives. There has to be a certain proportion between knife and handle for it to be legal, switchblades cannot be over a certain size, and butterfly knives are illegal. It's all to prevent knives that can be easily concealed and deadly--obviously it's a lot harder to carry around a knife with a bigass handle if you want to suprise and mug them. It's, you know, why you don't see thugs going around with machetes or kicthen knives. Too cumbersome.

I can't stand the way these stories always come up with an Xbox slant. I mean there have been >300 million consoles sold by Sony and Nintendo in the past two decades and I'm sure there are many criminals arrested that have at least one or the other at their home. Yet the only time we find out if they're a console owner these days seems to be if they own an Xbox.

 I think if he's a PS3 champion (or second place winner) in some contest, Sony would face the same kind of report, same goes for Nintendo.

I think that owning a 360 in Japan is so irregular that they thought it was odd enough to include.

Sadly video games have become an easy target for certain people and groups. Whatever happened to admitting that there are simply crazy people out there.
