By the end of 2016 it will have sold around 4m. It won't even be out in Japan 3 years at that point so the sales aren't bad especially considering it will be tracking ahead of the ps3.

This. I believe that PS consoles tend to sell well due to its brand. People know they can trust PS to have the games they want in the long run, even if not announced yet. I mean, 2 decades of PS now, and things haven't changed all that much if you think about it. They can the great 3rd party support + the Sony exclusives.

1. 3DS with 782k
2. PS4 with 610k
3. PSV with 529k
4. Wii U with 296k

The eternal mistake of non-PS users misreading PS SW continues. And I doubt it'll ever end

Indeed Vita fans are so dedicated that they want to play FFXV etc on it. PS4 is just like a master system -gamegear adapter on a bigger scale.

This is Awesome, Playstation 4, is nearly out-selling a plataform with  20 Millions of Install Base, in Software sales.

Depends on what we're talking, here. Relatively speaking, it isn't. However, with the declining interest in consoles, there, 2.4m is a respectable amount of units sold.

The thread title,  PS4 sell so much.   I just don't get how those sales feel like much even in this generation.

But, again, he's talking relatively. "Sells so much considering a certain lack of software" is different from "sells so much compared to everyone else".

Well you mean lack of software sales/dominators, what I just see is a console that got support from mayor companies and even got some normal heavy hitters like bloodborne/MGS5 and a large group of games that did +100k from the Dynasty warrios, to A tales of game to games like COD/F4/Witcher3.  

I just find it awkard that someone can see the console sales and make that thread title while mine would rather have been 'How isthe Wiiu is still first in Japan?'
