Is that what I think it is? A fully realized 2.5D Sonic game? Outside of one small part of the video that looked like it was in 3D almost that entire video showed Sonic simply running and spinning in one direction with what looks like little alternative. Sign me up if that's the case.

Oh man after seeing that trailer and realizing how the game is going to run, I really can't help but get a bit excited. I need to put some chains on my feet so I don't float up too high with my expectations.

I'm going to leave this one open and lock the old topic. The old one was in the Microsoft forum and the leaker said this was for all 3 platforms so there is no reason to not have one in the general gaming forum.

On the discussion: I am cautiously optimistic. First info is that it's split between 2 gameplay types: 2.5D sidescrolling and on-rails 3D (like SSR on the Wii, but hopefully without the crappy early controls). I think it could be the best 3D Sonic ever basically, but it could also just be another stinker. At least something to keep an eye on.

Camera looks pretty bad in my opinion. Otherwise looks pretty sweet though.

Doubtful that that was all in-game camera.  I'm guessing much of it was cinematic effect for the trailer, as they showed at the beginning of the video that they have the ability to move it where they want.
