Not only was the original trilogy superior to the later imitations, but they were developed in about 1/3rd the time, and revolutionary on a console that had already been around for years.

Comparing the production time of SNES games to Wii/Wii U games is a bit pointless; games naturally take longer to make nowadays than they did in the 4th gen.

LOL

Are you serious? You quoted me remember? You started an argument with me over demand... and now its about what other people are saying? Good joke! Carry on.

My mistake for not directly pointing out your broken logic earlier. Comparing MP3 vs. DKCTF over MP3 vs. DKCR makes no sense as they released on different systems with a massively huge installbase difference. I've been saying the whole time that DK is bigger than Metroid as MP3 vs. DKCR has shown, so the only way to not know that is if you aren't paying attention.

The only broken logic is yours. The Wii targeted a diferent audience compared to the Wii U. DK is a franchise with more casual appeal than Metroid. But the casual audience isnt in the Wii U, just the Nintendo fans and hardcore gamers. Its not just another Wii.

A metroid prime 4 would for sure sell more than DKTF on the Wii U. You can be sure of that. Theres also the fact that the Wii U market is saturated with 2D platformers.

Um, you're just explaining why DK is bigger than Metroid lol. Certainly not breaking my logic, which is just the sales numbers. Who they targeted doesn't matter, at the end of the day MP3 and DKCR were on an even playing field, and DKCR sold a lot more. The why doesn't change the fact that it did.

Right, it would sell more based on no data and because I say so logic.

If Wii U is such a hardcore console than why do games like Mario Maker & Splatoon significantly outsell games like Bayonetta & Xenoblade? Even Mario Party has outsold both those titles.

Didn't want to bring that up as a way for him to go off tangent, but yeah, outside of casual non gamer stuff, the types of games that do well on Nintendo systems hasn't changed with Wii U (for better or for worse), just the installbase is way smaller.

The funny thing is that Metroid averages about 1.5 million per entry which is roughly what Tropical Freeze is on track to sell. People who think Metroid on Wii U would have done much better are pretty delusional.

Metroid could be bigger of Ninty made it as a proper fps or maybe even changed it to a tps. Metroid being smaller than DK is more Nintys fault than Dk being popular.

No, Metroid is and always will remain niche unless they change it so much that it ceases to be Metroid anymore. Donkey Kong will always be more popular than Metroid despite what the vocal minority of the Internet try to claim.

Read again. You are feeding the other guy. He is terrible as it is. I didnt just mention one group.

Now that you mention it, Xenoblade X has very similar sales numbers to Xenoblade on the Wii. How curious isnt it? How do you explain that?

Sigh... you are hopeless.

Right... have it your way. DK is bigger than Metroid on the Wii. /clap

Now bring me Wii U numbers. The Wii U isnt the Wii, as much as you try to hold onto that.
