Forums - Nintendo - [RUMOUR] Bandai Namco working on NX, Smash Bros in work for it (most likely Smash 4 port)

This, Mk8 and Splatoon are the ones speculated to have an NX version.

I highly doubt it for Splatoon, they're probably already on Splatoon 2. Same for Mario Kart 8.

Its probably a port, since a new game is a bit unrealistic due to time constrains, since they are still developing stuff for Smash 4.But if they manage to release Smash 4 with all DLC at launch, that could be a huge sales driver.HUGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEE

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Just wondering why you think it would be huge? As in why huge on NX but not wii u? Hopefully ninty can generate some actual hype for this console

So... the NX is a new portable and it will have a souped up version of the 3DS smash? :P

I will believe these rumors when i see actual proof.

Though once again its beeing used as a spring to speculate more crazy stuff.

Not sure how I feel about a Smash 4 Port.. :/

Oh well, as long as the line up is good

Nice, hopefully it's true. I want to play Smash 4! Plus, Namco working on several games is great news indeed.

I don't doubt it, Namco is getting closer to Nintendo and third parties tend to invest on new hardware... at least during its first year. Then they see if their investment paid off or not.

The strange thing I always found is that Nintendo does still own a generous stake in the company even after the Japanese government stop Nintendo's take over of the developer, why they haven't been make more games for Nitnendo's system in the first place.

Well, 3DS still gets games from them, but most of them stay only in Japan. I remember them releasing some Wii U games back in the day, a somewhat decent support, but I guess it didn't paid off so they decided it was not worth it.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

NX launch games will determine, to a ceartain extent, if the console will be successful or not.And to be successful, it will need to drawn in people that are not nintendo fans. The launch games dont need to necessarely please the usual Nintendo fan, the ones that bought the Wii U, because Nintendo NEEDS to bring new people in.So having Smash 4, a game many didnt played, since it was only on Wii U, be available from the get go could be a huge draw for those people that missed the Wii U and are looking for reasons to buy a Nintendo console.I mean sure, the game alone wont sell the system, but it will be a great addition if true.

Smash 4 has already sold 12 million copies and counting, so most people interested in the game already have it. A NX port better have all the DLC included to give people incentives for buying it again.

Xenosaga HD BABY!!! That with Smash 4 port would be 4 titles.
