Forums - Gaming Discussion - Quantum Break rated for PC in Brazil

Was not expecting this.

Maybe some will say that this is a smart decision because Microsoft can reach more customers if they to play their games on PC. However, there is a sense that the Xbox One has almost no real exclusives coming.

Yea it looks that way to me too. With that said I bought a 360 after trying both gears of war and mass effect on my pc that could barely play them.

Microsoft published Alan Wake. The game ended up on PC and this saved Remedy from bankruptcy.

Steam saved Remedy from bankruptcy: https://youtu.be/Ms7sAv_DnMc?t=1m20s

Microsoft also published Ryse: Son of Rome. And this almost sent Crytek to bankruptcy.

Amazon saved them: http://gamerant.com/amazon-crytek-bankrupt/

--

Rise of the Tomb Raider was also published by Microsoft and did not perform as expected (sales wise) Lets hope Steam can save the franchise.

There is one company that couldn't escape going out of business after developing an XBox exclusive, that is Lucas Arts.

The commercial and critical letdown of Kinect Star Wars killed Lucas Arts.

--

Do we really need to keep wondering why all these new XBox games are going to PC? Really?

Lol a Kinect game but nice try though.

ROTR already passed 1 million so I wouldn't say it did bad.

Rise son of Rome was just a pretty game with bad gameplay. Crytek is not known for making great games only pretty games.

Alan wake released same day red dead redemption so it was bad timing. It still sold over 1 million on xbox alone so it was not bad.

Keep trying though.

Interesting how you pick an arbitrary sales number and act like it is a better source than actual data pulled from the companies that state they needed the additional sales to not go bankrupt.

The denial is real.

Oh, neat. Might play this now.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

My friend was discussing about Xbox One purchase for Quantum break and Forza Horizon 2. He might not be happy. Exclusives makes a console desirable from those point of view who owns a decent PC. This is discouraging. Let's see how it turns out.

Isn't it already available on PC tho?

-------

OT: I was not expecting this at all. If true I know many people would be pissed off.

I'm not a fan of this strategy of putting your best exclusives on PC as the console loses its uniqueness and identity.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Nah, just X1 and the 360.

Thanks! Don't know why but I thought it was on PC as well.

YES

Hope its true (even if its Windows 10 exclusive).

Quantum break is like the main game I wanted to play that is o XBO (excluding Rare Replay).

Gonna get this for PC when its released!

I really love time manipulation games like TImeshift and QB but if it;s going to be a dtrict W10 release then I'll probably pass, 10 just puts me off and the limitations of it throw me off even further. Would be nice to see more of that MS "commitment" though.

Topkek at the exclusive warmongers though. If you don't like the idea of exclusives going to PC then it shouldn't go the othe way around, if you want to put up walls then be prepared for the same to happen.

Doubt it but you guys can believe it if it makes you all feel any better.

It's an official government website, you may not want to sound so sure man.

Not official unless Microsoft or remedy say it is.

Remasters only offer new visuals btw.

See you're not the only one that can shoot down and argument no one made.

You were so quick to dismiss before seeing the source, no one said it's official but it's a pretty good basis for a rumor as it seems credible.

Lucas Arts was dead long before Star Wars Kinect.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

You, sir, have just gained massive respect!

Thankee =D.

I really do though, I dunno why it's hard to explain but I just love the concept of being able to control the process of time, the backwards, forwards and stop motion of time just excites me. Reminds me of Wakfu villain Nox, a Xelor (hur hur Rolex=Watch=Time) who had the power to manipulate time. Also forgot to add Dishonored to the list as well, some really creative ways to kill people with time manipulation in that game.

Good point.  So then it will be interesting to see what the PC requirements for their cross platform titles.   My modest non enthusist class PC is more powerful than an Xbox One as is.  We shall see.
