Forums - Nintendo - After 30 years of being an avid Nintendo supporter, what do you feel that Nintendo owes you?

Nothing.

I've owned every Nintendo system with the exception of the Virtual Boy, and even if I've had certain frustrations with certain design choices ... overall I have zero regrets for buying any of their systems.

I look at this way, what if I told you you could never play Mario Kart 8, Splatoon, Smash Bros. U, Mario 3D World, Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, etc. etc. *ever*, but I'll give you $300 in compensation. Would you think that's a good deal? How many Nintendo fans would be happy with that deal?

The experiences and fun I've had with every Nintendo system far exceed the asking sticker price *every time*.

Hell I'd buy a Virtual Boy right now if I could get one new in the box for $200-$300 (albiet this is more for collectors purposes).

Bring on the NX.

They don't owe me anything. Althought, I'd love to hear them abour reading my posts and Aonuma be furious because I call him lazy.

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Nintendo owes me nothing. I'd be perfectly fine with the Wii U dying with Twilight Princess, Pokken, & Star Fox.

Even tho the Wii U is my least favorite Nintendo console I've had, (N64, GC, Wii, U) it was still worth having. I got mine as a gift but looking back would say it's worth the $300 + $60 a game price point.

As long as I'm still getting triple A quality games from Nintendo, they owe me nothing,.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Dang, is that comment about the Mercedes Benz true? Man, no wonder Ninten has been doing a lot of promoting deals with them... Also, I have kind of felt for awhile it was 3rd parties getting selfish and just having an overall problem with Ninten. Ninten kept doing great things, and for some reason, 3rd parties just want nothing to do with them. I would love to enjoy more 3rd party games, if they released some good ones on Ninten consoles, as well as just treating the base well. At least there are so good ones on their handhelds.

As for the main question, Ninten has already been giving me what I want: Good games. It's really that simple for me.

Nothing. They're just a company, and I'm dependent on their products for their enjoyment just as much as they're dependent on my money to stay in business. If I no longer feel their products appeal to me, I'll stop buying them.

They don't owe me anything in particular. There is no specific game that they need to make, nor do they have to make the console of my dreams.

But they do need to make a reasonable attempt at satisfying their customers. In terms of the wii u, they did well as a software developer. They made games that I enjoyed. But as a hardware manufacturer/publisher, they did a piss poor job. Every other developer left and they have left the wii u as weak, unpopular, and riddled with droughts. This was unacceptable to their customers (regardless of how long they've been fans of Nintendo).

I'm confused. I thought you of all people would be happy with your Wii U purchase. I always hear you talking about buying eShop games of questionable quality and everything.

But in general, it seems as though Nintendo is in a tough spot. I think that's why we are seeing make some changes to their business style going forward.

I couldn´t say it better than this. I always enjoy Nintendo systems, so much that I´ll keep buying them without a doubt. I don´t think their hardware decisions are always perfect, but their software is so great that I´m in everytime.

I will always buy Nintendo systems symply because they are the only pure Gaming company left of the hardware developpers and this means a lot to me.
