Forums - Gaming - I'm starting University soon and I'm afraid my gaming life will be over....

Yeah, you will have time to play.

Now ofc, it all depends on how you manage your time. But uni stuff wont keep you occupied 24/7 until the last year. Even then, you can still find some time. Thoug the stress management becomes important aswell. I woud frequently just lose the will to play cause of the stress.

Hey. I am a first year medical student. If i can find 30 minutes - 1 hour per week of game time, then you should be able to find at least 4-5 hours in university, depending on your major. Learn how to manage time well, not fall behind, and stay slightly ahead. that will allow you to have some free time for games. Good luck!

Hi

I played a lot more games in university than in high school, a more active social life than in high school and wound up with better grades than high school. It depends on your program and how much time you need to dedicate to study and finish assignments.

However time management is always good so you don't pull off multiple all nighters to finish things. But honestly don't worry about it, university isn't as hyped up as you think it is.

I started university last semester and so far gaming hasn't been that big of an issue for me. Honestly, I probably have more time to play games now than I did in high school. You just need to manage your time carefully.

Though this definitely wouldn't be the case in graduate school, but that's a different story entirely.

Unless you're going over seas to fight a war or something, I fail to see how you can't find some time to play games for an hour here and there.

Don't be afraid, life is far more interesting and fulfilling than stupid video games, with the exception of TLOU which will enhance your life.

The PS5 Exists.

Just go at your own pace, man. I'm in my 1st year at a uni and really all you gotta do is manage everything, don't work too much and don't play too much, just find a balance that works for you. If you're like me, you can play with your handheld at the uni when there are a couple of hours between classes.

I can confirm that your gaming life is going to be over. When I started university, I was like 'nah, I'll always have time for gaming'. Now I'm more like 'I wish I could properly reserve time for anything fun'.

Lol, you'll have plenty of time. Admittedly a job will cut into your time but the only way you'll stop is if you're heading out every night (this is the better option any way) I guarantee once you're a few months in you'll wonder why you thought you'd have to give it up.
