It's more than amazing, for me it's unbelievable. I bought it day 1, two copies, one for me and one for a friend. I can't say I have enjoyed the game too much, it lacks so many things to be great, from enemies, bosses, items, backgrounds etc. My friend played it less than 3 hours, at least I've put more than 30 hours on it, so at least I don't feel that bad for spending money on it xD

I'm happy it has sold so well, but for me the game was really, really disappointing.

 

Sad to hear you didn't fell in love with it like others did. 

I can't say anything tho, as my last Wii U game was (and will be) Splatoon.



Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

That's why I try to not be very hyped for games, if you keep your expectations low you'll be happy, but if you expect wonders you can feel burned pretty easily. 

I haven't played Splatoon in two or three months as well, but that's only because I really suck at multiplayer games xD Though I still think the game is the best thing Nintendo has done in a very long time, it deserves all the sales it has.

According to Nintendo the game is at 3.34m (12/31/2015). I think it's pretty safe to asume it will hit 5m eventually unlike most people believed. :o

Agreed. I guess the people that weren't sure before will probably change their minds after this report.

Yep which will give Wii U 7, 5 million sellers

Mario Kart 8, Nintendo Land, New Super Mario Bros. U, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Mario 3D World, Splatoon, Super Mario Maker

Pretty good for a console that will only sell something like 15 million lifetime.

Yeah i expected Wii-U consoles to be overtracked(wich they are) and by that logic most software sales as well. But i'm glad it's doing well, it alway's hade the potential to be a sleeper hit.

Agreed. It's a fun game like you said, although annoying at times D:
