Hoping for the best with the NX, though I don't know at this point...



Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

The official NX thread actually did stop other NX threads for a while, but then some jokers made a few threads, people saw that nothing happened to them, and so that gave the impression that it was ok to spam again, and so here we are now. All bark and no bite was essentially the problem. I brought this up back when the first few threads started being made but no one listened of course, but hey atleast I tried! I'm against official threads anyway, just let people talk about what they wanna talk about, that's generally how it is anyway.

I avoid those giant 500 post+ "official" threads. They're pretty much topics where a small number of users make lots of posts in, and nobody else knows what's going on.

To put some reason to it: while that jumble of posts may make sense to the people spending the time to read everything in them, the other 99% of the board sees a big off-topic mess.

That's actually a lot more interesting if an idea. By the time the NXX (that's what I'm calling it) would be released, 4K would be like the current 1080p, and instead of bringing games down to 900p or 720p, it would be reduced to 1440p on some console games. 5K and 8K would be like the current 1440p and 4K. The NXX would be just as powerful as the PS5/6 and 4K 30FPS and 1440p 60fps would be what most games end up being.
