I know this is nothing new, and I'm a proponent of capitalism.  But people buying limited edition of games just to sell at an inflated price really gets to me.

It was recently announced that Atelier Escha & Logy™ Plus Limited Edition was officially released for the the PSVITA.

Thankfully, I preordered my copy, and here's why:

Four copies?  Four F&!*@)% copies???  What an ass.  Yeah, you snooze you loose so you better get your pre-order in.  But once, I wanted to purchase a copy of Ar Nosurge for the PS3 only to find out a little later that there was a Limited Edition for the PSVITA which I would have preferred.  But it was a little too late.  And I cannot help but to think that my chances of getting it at a reasonable price would have been greater if assuming scalpers hadn't taken advantage of the situation.

Being a collector of Hot Toy's 1/6th scale figures, this is nothing new to me. Prices pretty much double when the official run is over. Han Solo and Chewbacca set is going for over $900US on Ebay now... Retail was circa $420US... yeh...

Supply and demand sadly.

It's sort of shit at times for the people in the region that it's available in but there have been a few times where companies only make these available in say the US with a console like the Vita which is region free so people buying them up to resell on ebay allows people in the EU to have at least a chance at picking up a copy even at the inflated price... no to mention that when buying on ebay you got the massive costs of shipping and import being added on now as well.

Yeah it sucks a lot, the best thing to do is just wait because at some point the collectors edition is avaible again ounce the scalpers cant sell their shit which is not uncommen after a month. The only problem is if you allready bought the normal game you arent in the mood to buy it again.
