There are a few I'm interested in, but they still aren't in stock and I won't get them unless they are at MSRP or on sale

At first I wasn't a big fan of amiibo. But if I lived in the US I would buy lots of them. I envy how cheap amiibo's are there, sometimes there are sales on amazon with selected amiibo from $5-7 which is so perfect.
If they were priced that low I would buy all. I can't be near a sale, I usually loose my mind :P

I would say the same, but it's hard to ignore them when those plastic toys block content in about every Nintendo game these days...

I have yet to play any 3DS or Wii U game that made me feel like I was missing out on anything significant by not owning Amiibo. Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros, Captain Toad, Splatoon, Mario Maker all utilize Amiibo but im really not missing out on anything by not owning Amiibo.

they are just plastic it costs them nothing if its overproduced a bit

Of course I care. However it will take a while until new ones are released, so I don't need to hunt them now ...

The sad thing is that their use in games is so limited. I liked the idea of Smash, because it sounded like you could partner with your amiibo. But all the two player stuff can't be played with amiibos ...

I think the best usage right now is in Shovelknight. The game plays different enough with amiibo to justify the existance of a shovelknight amiibo.

They where always just a waste imo.

NFC chips are cheap, but Amiibo's are not just plastic figures.

I got almost all the amiibo I want at the moment, so I don't care about them anymore... : X
