We have Wii U at like 440k? And 3DS at an estimated 580k? These are down from last year by a fair margin. Factoring in poor November sales as well ....

Would this not represent the lowest hardware sales for Nintendo in the US market since ... like possibly the introduction of the Game Boy and the two hardware model? 

Anyone have hard numbers for past Nintendo Nov/Dec windows in the US? I think 1995 maaaaybe might have been worse becuase it was the one year that Game Boy sales were really, really low (right before Pokemon was created). 

That's a negative thing to hypothesize.

It's a sales forum, we talk sales, if this was Nintendo's lowest holiday sales in the US, it's worth discussing. 

Well your hypothesis isn't true unless you or someone provides data. Which would be very interesting to see indeed.

May be. But it's not surprising since 3DS is about 5 years old and Wii U was a fail since launch. Plus, 3DS holiday line up was extremely weak. It's surprising that 2016 is about to have a much better line up overall than last year.

I guess, since there was NO MAJOR game came out for both consoles.

Like last year there was Pokemon and Super Smash.
