Forums - Nintendo - Pokkén Tournament is releasing worldwide the 18th March 2016

Strangely, I've found no thread about it, even if it's pretty big news (the game was only stated as a Q2 game on the west before).

Pokkén Tournament, the spin-off versus fighting game made by Bandai Namco, is going to be released on March 18th in Europe, North America and Japan. It has been six months since the arcade release on Japan, where at first there was only 8 pokémon playable and 4 assists characters. Now, as we know for the moment, 16 characters are playable, and more than 20 assists. I won't detail every assists, but here's a look for the playable characters. The game has a special artistic direction and it may be good to see what an external studio can do with the Pokémon style.

That's a lot sooner than I expected.

Game looks cool, but I'm still not sure if I'll get it

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Cool! Looking forward to this one! Fap Fap Fap

Nice, that is sooner than I expected! I want to point out that Pikachu Libre isn't an original character though. She was already introduced in Pokemon ORAS.

Maybe this confirms Star Fox Zero is being pushed back? Seems like a lot of games to release within a 2 month window when you have hardly any games to release in the first place.

Anyway, this is much sooner than I expected, so this is good news I guess. Pokken seemed destined for a May release.

I thought Pikachu Libre appears as cosplay in either XY or ORAS.

Anyways, not much of a Pokémon fan but I have been anticipating this game

I don't know if Nintendo is keeping something, but it's weird to release those 3 games in nearly two months. I thought they will have those 3 games for March, April and May or something like that.

That's good.. still on the fence of getting this game though
