The game is actually pretty good for its gender. You guys seriously need to stop underestimating games just because they are classified as "casual" or for kids. Nintendogs on its genre is a better game than any recent Tales of as a JRPG.

Alright, I'll change the game. I'd rather gift my daughter Hotel Dusk or Another Code than New Style Boutique 2 or Nintendogs. ;)

It all depends on what the girl likes and her age. If she likes puzzles and mystery, Hotel Dusk or Another Code would do the trick (Another Code would be better if she's younger though...). But if she likes fashion and dresses I don't see the problem in gift her New Style Boutique 2. Its a great game on its territory, as good as Hotel Dusk (it pains me to say it, but Another Code is not at their level...)

You seem to know a lot about that Boutique game, maybe even too much... *gives him a suspicious look*

Completely Off-Topic: It's very weird to see you arguing with Wright. When he came to the site, he also used an Hotel Dusk avatar. It's almost like watching him argue with himself!

It may sound as a poor and overused excuse, but two friends of mine have the game and they've been completely absorbed by it. They only have good words for it. And listening to them and watching some sites reviews (not only the metacritic ones) I've come to think that the game must be doing something really good on its territory xD

But hey, I don't mind saying I've played more Nintendogs, Eye Toy, Wii Fit and Wii Sports than some of these so called "hardocore" games. In the end, all of them are games and I think if they are good enough they can provide fun regardless of their genre ^^

And I guess Wright just has good taste for videogames if he had an avatar of Hotel Dusk. It may not be my favorite game (nor Last Window), but its definitely one that will remain in my heart for a very long time :)

The genre of a game has nothing to do with the quality of said game. Or how fun it is.

But it can make the game more suitable to a certain sector of the market than another, that's why a 21 yo male talking good things about it sounds a bit out of place .

But I won't judge you, I also had more fun with Wii Sports than I'm having now playing Tomb Raider Reboot.

Please excuse my bad English.

Former gaming PC: i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Current gaming PC: R5-7600, 32GB RAM 6000MT/s (CL30) and a RX 9060XT 16GB

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

The Tomb Raider Reboot is awful, so that's fine. I hope you're playing the PC version because on consoles the controller layout is really bad.

Yes, it's the PC version that I got for cheap during the last Steam sales.

So far I wouldn't call it awful, but it's certainly not memorable.

What I have never fully understood is the Just Dance-Wii relationship. It happens every year!

The Wii was a fad, people got bored and stopped playing with it years ago, so... nevermind.

Wouldn't Just Dance charting all over Europe highest on Wii year in year out kind of confirm that people are still using their Wii? It's just Nintendo created an audience with no inclination to move on.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I gotta agree here. Didn't consider it awful, but certainly boring enough for me not to care about beating it. Which is a shame, because I remember playing and beating older Tomb Raiders when I was a kid.

Also locking the butler in the fridge.

Wait, we have charts? Also, I can safely confirm a lot of us have no taste... screw my damn country and their unhealthy obsession with "La Liga"!

Can't remember last time an Xbox game made the chartz, outside Minecraft.

If you didn't beat it then you missed something:

The final boss fight against the big bad guy is a QTE.

That was the last straw.

Eh, nothing wrong with it. Shenmue 2's final boss sequence ended up with a QTE too.

Though...considering how bad the mechanics were in the reboot, I'm afraid it does sound disappointing.
