Okay, how on Earth did Wii Fit U and Wii Party U need  a delay? What happened?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

After NX released, I wanna hear about how hard develop software for Wii U...

That's not real. If we would have trusted retailers we would have played Captain Toad in March and Splatoon in July. That's just some mistake, nothing discussion-worthy.

Where were Captain Toad and Kirby delayed? If you mean the European release, then that hasn't to do anything with the game's development.

But Mario Maker and Lego City Undercover were delayed from December 2012 to March 2013 and from 1st half if 2015 to September 2015.

It's almost undoubtable the game is going to be either a dual-release or going to turn into an NX launch title.

Well, I doubt this.

Did Star Fox Zero even have a confirmed European release date beyond "2016"? Or was it just 'April' 2016?

In the absence of a specific date, European retailers could just be guessing. A UK based site (base.com) currently have Star Fox Zero pegged for June 24th, while gamecollection (another UK site) have 22nd April down.

In the last Direct they said "April 2016" for Europe ;)

Six months with nothing just one Zelda Hd and Pokken in the middle is real bad!

Is seriously Nintendo thinking that it is ok?

“Just make some games!”

It’s the most commonly heard phrase when critiquing the launch of the Wii U, the first next generation console which has so far arrived with something of a thud onto the scene in the past year. And now with headlines being dominated by the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One (for better or worse) it’s going to take a lot for Nintendo to grab the spotlight again. Specifically, it’s going to take a lot of good games.

But it’s not as simple as that, as the company is learning the hard way. The reason many alleged “launch window” titles like Pikmin 3 are being pushed back is because Nintendo is discovering that creating titles that run on an HD console is more difficult than they anticipated. Shigeru Miyamoto explained as much to shareholders in a recent Q & A session.

“When it comes to the scale of software development, Wii U with HD graphics requires about twice the human resources than before.”

“We may have underestimated the scale of this change and as a result, the overall software development took more time than originally anticipated just as we tried to polish the software at the completion phase of development… “We are almost out of this phase, and we are also trying to create something unique utilizing an easier development approach called ‘Nintendo Web Framework.’ ”

Should they have anticipated this though? Sony  and Microsoft both ran into this problem in the early days of the PS3 and Xbox 360, and could have served as blueprint if  Nintendo was paying attention. This really shouldn’t be blindsiding them with HD being the industry standard for years now, at least among their competitors. And with Nintendo letting the Wii fade a bit these last few years, I would have hoped they were devoting their time toward ensuring a smoother transition with the Wii U and understanding the new requirements to release games in a timely manner on the system.

The article is from 2013.

Two Thousand and Thirteen people. Almost EIGHT years after the Xbox 360 was released with an HD resolution and Nintendo still was having problems programming with the HDres in mind.

It could be LOL worthy if it really wasnt that sad.

That is the problem that i have been saying since the beginning. Nintendo has to stop with the 0.5 Generations and get with the times or they will be eaten by the competition and cease to exist as a hardware company.
