And niche franchise don't obviously are high on this lists, had anything like it have been as hyped as Persona is getting now? It's a first.

Of the 3 million views - 20+ of them were from me , I know cause I saw that trailer so many times lol and i'm pretty sure a lot of people have as well multiple times.

I'm confident the game will sell more than all the other games in the series but I highly doubt its gonna beat a mainline FF series installment (especially a new one that is as hyped up as XV) in terms of sheer sales - maybe in popularity in the same way Xenoblade beat Final Fantasy XIII but not in sales.

 

Regardless gonna get both games day 1 myself and hopefully pre-order on a collector's edition for both :)

Edit: I played P4 for PS2 few months ago in anticipation of P5 before it was delayed - still hyped for it.

Edit 2 : I'm also happy that the series is getting more exposure than it has in the past - this is great for me because it means more Persona games in the future :)!

Lol, yeah, Persona won't beat Final Fantasy in sales, not even half of that, at least not globaly, because it may actually be a good fight in Japan.

And yeah, again, it's nice to see it growing outside of its shell, pretty much like Bloodborne got such a big exposure, people used to call Souls games niche before it, afterall.

I think it's the opposite. I don't think Persona 5 will do half of FF15 in Japan, but has a shot to be closer in the West.

The gears Demo at E3 was very boring, not a surprise that people are not all that excited for it.

I am more surprised at persona in second.

But its a great List IMO

The list is about games that people anticipate, people are hyped and people want to see more and play. Its not a " what game will have the best metacritic in 2016 " or something.

I dont see where i made such a " AHAH , WHAT A BOLD CLAIM , HOLY SHIT SON MY MIND GOT MINDFUCKED " type of bold claim, never said the game would be Game of the generation or that will have a 99 metacritic score or anything like that.

Its one of my anticipated games  and Gaf thinks this way too because it looks amazing, world looks amazing, main character looks great , its a rpg and it looks fun, its great to see new ips .

You did say it looks amazing though. Should i conclude you only mean graphics then?

I think the graphics lookd good, but i am far from convinced that its going to be a good game. Anyone can hype anything. Doesnt mean it delivers though. The proof is in the pudding as they say.

New IP's are especially guilty of this because they are unkown quantities. Fingers crossed though. Would love it if it was good.
