It is funny other publishers are giving up ground to Koei Tecmo and they are smartly taking full advantage.

MH and YW still monsters, took up over 14% and 11% of all 3DS software physical sales alone, so 1/4 of games bought on 3DS was one of those games.

Yeah they really do. But the 3DS was still managed to beat all the other competition in both hardware and software even with its age.

EDIT: Koei Tecmo and Spike Chunsoft are of course doing a lot of work for other publishers.

Because they how to budget and market their games to their respective fanbases? A lot of the niche JRPGs only need around 35k to break even.
