What architecture do you think the processor will use? If it is x86, better than Xbone is a given. If arm - then probably weaker indeed.
480p is a total joke. Nintendo needs to step up on their handheld's resolution.

540p/2 = 270p. Now thats what I call a Nintendo resolution.

I have a 3DS... and I feel like its screen resolution is too low, and its specs too weak.
Non the less it does have good games so Im still happy with it, but it could have been so much more.
On the one hand, it's Nintendo, and they seem to always care more about innovating a new market for customers than innovating for the current market for customers. If they are approaching the NX the way they approached Wii and WiiU, it would not be remotely shocking to see the NX specs land right around those of the PS4/X1.
On the other hand, if the NX is being developed as a reaction to the WiiU's subpar reception, then they might be going hard after the market leaders. Even if the latter is the goal, Nintendo will still most likely shoot for a lower price point, because...Nintendo. That would have consequences, in and of itself.
I don't know if Nintendo is willing to spend so much money for an external consultant to explain to them what 1080p60 is. Seems like a waste.
