Yay. Excited. Zesteria was my favourite of the modern Tales games yet (Zesteria > Xillia 2 > Xillia > Graces), lol. I feel they've been getting better with each installment so this one should be the best yet.

Zesteria is easily the worst of the series including Legendia and I have not played Vesperia.Tales has turned to crap after Abyss and is getting worse.

Yeah we will have to disagree.I have been playing the Talaes games for a long time and they peaked at Abyss. THe story went down hill as did the characters, the world design, the features, the UI has become crap and the engine is outdated.Really Zestiria is too poor to be a PS3 game and they ported it with no improvements.I feel ripped off paying $60 for that mediocre crap and I will not even finish it like I did not finish Xillia.THe combat system is a step back from Xillia too.

Why is Tales of Vesperia still the best looking Tales?

It was cell-shaded and that covers up a lot of problems. Vesperia isn't the best technically.

Are the more recent Tales as good as Symphonia? I really loved that game and it was the last one I played.

Personal belief that Symphonia is one of the worst Tales games. If you liked the gameplay at all, you'll be estastic to see how far it's advanced.

Vesperia looks the best period to me. What exactly do you mean by technically?

It's like saying that Wind Waker is better looking than Twilight Princess. The art style of Vesperia has allowed it to age very well, it's not the best in the series. Not that it really matters because Tales games have always been kinda subpar graphically.

I just want them to announce a collector's edition already. I want to get it..

Yeah, I liked Vesperia's look the best. Xillia had decent set pieces, but the textures and overall quality should look better.

It's actually improving! Now it looks like a 2008 PS3/360 game, which is good I guess. :P

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Depends on why you liked Symphonia. If graphics and gameplay are big draws for you, the newer games have made big improvements, like outlaw said.

If you care more about the story...it really depends who you ask. I loved Syphonia and Abyss, but I found the story in Xillia to be a bit dissapointing in comparison. Still has fun characters, but the story had some serious pacing issues, and the overall narrative didn't really draw me in like the 6th gen games did.

Mileage will vary of course...but that's just my opinion as a fellow Symphonia fan.

OT: Game looks nice so far, looking forward to seeing more characters.
