Cool, that almost makes me want to get Win10. The second screen feature is all kinds of awsome.

Not sure I'd you been sarcastic? Bit anyway that's why I downloaded windows 10, solely so I could still play xbox when my lounge TV is in use.

No, it's just that I'm quite indifferent to Windows 10 (read: too lazy to check it out).

So upgraded my laptop to windows 10 for free. Can now stream xbox one direct to laptop aka no need for a TV.  So I can play fallout 4 whilst my lil girl watches peppa pig lol. Thanks Microsoft 😀

This definately beats wii u gamepad and ps4 second screen options

You can play the ps4 on a Vita screen while sitting next to your lil girl on the couch pretending to be interested in Peppa Pig for her!

Yeah I know 😉 but I could do this with my wii u before, now I can do it with my xbox too. I considered a vita just for thus option, but it just isn't worth it to me.

Aye well there is a PSTV and 2x Vita's in my household (Both myself and the Wife use it for portable gaming now) so when we got a PS4 it was pretty handy not just for off TV play but also for 2 player games to be able to jump into those without having to pay out for a 2nd controller after buying the system since 1 player can use the Vita as a controller and the other on the DS4, well handy for saving money as well as being a cool off screen play machine.

I'd definitely recommend if you have a PS4 in the household.

Not sure how I would feel about having my ps4 on without me been in the house though.

wii u still have the best and fastest latency.

Ps4 remote play give your a controller, right in your hand.

You can even play far, far away your ps4 games with remote play.

Ps4 does work on all pcs and android.

xbox one still the last guy

The Wii U is considered a failure, yet everyone is copying it's second-screen feature.

Yeaaaah, no.

"Interactivity between Sony's home video game consoles and handheld video game console is traced back as far as 2006, prior to the PlayStation 3's launch, when journalists noticed a PlayStation Portable icon, with the title "Remote Play", on pre-release versions of their PS3.[4] The functionality was officially revealed just prior to the PS3's launch in October 2006, at Sony's "Gamer's Day" event, where Sony demonstrated the ability to transfer the PS3's output to a PSP instead of a television, through showing downloaded PlayStation 1games and movie films being transmitted to a PSP's screen and speakers.[5] Sony announced that all original PlayStation 1 games would support the feature, but they had to be digital, not disc-based, media from the PS3's internal harddrive.[6][7] This later changed by the end of 2007, when a firmware update made it so any PlayStation 1 game was compatible with Remote Play, even disc-based ones.[8]"

Yup, tis class out, a lot of games have a good deal of customization too for the missing 4 buttons, since the Vita's sticks aren't clickable R/L3 and it only has one pair of shoulder buttons R/L2, the generic fix for this is those 4 buttons get bound to the four corners of the Vita's touch screen and the center of the screen becomes the Dualshock 4's touch pad area.

As for your below comment about having to leave the ps4 on while you are out of the house, you can just leave it in "rest mode" or standby, there is a setting to allow any of your paired Vita's to find it over the net while it's in this mode and power it up to play with, after you can put it back into rest mode from the Vita when you're done... or you can accidentally power it off fully which I've done once from my parents place while testing it.... can't turn it back on remotely once you do that tho, hehe.

Tis just that the Vita/Wii-U off TV play includes the controls to play the games, where as streaming to a PC or tablet you're going to need to add extra controls to either of those things to allow you actually play the game which is being streamed to the devices, I know it's a handy feature that all the current gen machines have, just that each has different pros and con's about how they do it.
