Aye well there is a PSTV and 2x Vita's in my household (Both myself and the Wife use it for portable gaming now) so when we got a PS4 it was pretty handy not just for off TV play but also for 2 player games to be able to jump into those without having to pay out for a 2nd controller after buying the system since 1 player can use the Vita as a controller and the other on the DS4, well handy for saving money as well as being a cool off screen play machine.

I'd definitely recommend if you have a PS4 in the household.

Interesting. I didn't realise vita was a controller for ps4 too hmmm ..

Yup, tis class out, a lot of games have a good deal of customization too for the missing 4 buttons, since the Vita's sticks aren't clickable R/L3 and it only has one pair of shoulder buttons R/L2, the generic fix for this is those 4 buttons get bound to the four corners of the Vita's touch screen and the center of the screen becomes the Dualshock 4's touch pad area.

As for your below comment about having to leave the ps4 on while you are out of the house, you can just leave it in "rest mode" or standby, there is a setting to allow any of your paired Vita's to find it over the net while it's in this mode and power it up to play with, after you can put it back into rest mode from the Vita when you're done... or you can accidentally power it off fully which I've done once from my parents place while testing it.... can't turn it back on remotely once you do that tho, hehe.

Tis just that the Vita/Wii-U off TV play includes the controls to play the games, where as streaming to a PC or tablet you're going to need to add extra controls to either of those things to allow you actually play the game which is being streamed to the devices, I know it's a handy feature that all the current gen machines have, just that each has different pros and con's about how they do it.
