I got shafted the same way by Walmart mexico... thing is I didnt receive the package, coz i work out of my town, and my parents dont know what what supposed to be in the box (a ps4 and a Guitar Hero Live combo), so the Guitar Hero was there, but the PS4 box was empty... It took me 2 months and a demand against walmart to get my money back... When I came home and lifted the Walmart box I knew at that moment what terror really means...

Good thing I have my money back and they let me keep the Guitar Hero pack... So now I have 2 empty boxes of PS4 (first one was stolen in a trip) a lot of PS4 games, 4 controllers, accesories, and Still no PS4 Xp... planning on fix it ASAP once Im back at home in about a week...

Also on topic, that is pretty harsh, but yeah I guess the store wants its employee's to not go ripping open these boxes to make sure the consoles are all in place because like others said in the thread it would make it more difficult to resell as a new system after having ripped it open to make sure it's all there.

Also a lot of (not so) sly digs at the Wii-U here suggesting the ps2 was better than it, obviously in terms of what was expected and wanted by the kid (and the massive difference in actual cost of the systems envolved) the ps2 was not a better deal, just because it was a system which sold a lot of units, it also probably has a lot less processing power in it than a 3ds nevermind a Wii-U. If going to drop comments like these against the system based on previous gen sales keep in mind would the same be true that a SNES inside the box of a ps4 would be a better deal for the consumer because the system sold almost double the units of the ps4 so far?

Does anyone bother to check what they've bought these days?



I feel like I'm the only guy in this room who always checks his McDonalds to make sure the order is always right. Whenever I buy an electronic device I always ask the store to make sure it works, buying a new laptop or tablet I ask to make sure it's a fresh install and that it's not an off the shelf model thrown in a box (caught out a guy at PC world who tried that on my Step dad last year).

I like to do my research as much as possible and in country is common to show the product before leaving.

Are you saying the Wii-U is my preferred system? I'm not sure I get what you mean, but no, what is being said here a few times aren't jokes, not even remotely funny just straight up jabs at a system very thinly masked as humour, all I'm saying is if you were to read said "jokes" but sub in your console of choice as the butt of them, would you still find them funny? if so, fire away I guess, but I really doubt anyone would find them funny.

Yup, even if the product is new they may ask if you want it to be open there to check it or they go and do it right away.

That's something I wish all stores implemented.

Not so much, only next gen machine I've got is the PS4 as you can see from my Sig trophy games, I was considering buying a Wii-U but the concept of the NX around the corner meant I really didn't consider it a good long term investment of my cash.

Not that I'm anti Nintendo, GC was and probably still is my favourite system of all times, love my 3ds (less so with my Vita in the house) but yeah I also was nuts into the 360 last gen, got close to 200 games for it (retail) I'm not really a system specific fan at all I guess really, just happen to have a Ninty related avatar and name from my days of playing Smash Bros on the GC (many moons ago).

Still tho, don't have to be a fan of something to see it getting shat on unfairly (imo) in posts! :D
