3DS is more dead. All games this year are compltely external productions and late localizations. So it will probably go away earlier.

And the Uisoft guy even said that NX systems won't share the same library. They just share the same OS. Just think about it: developers have one year more to learn the OS.

 

Isn't Zelda U the only internally developed Wii U game though? So basically 3DS & Wii U are in similar positions as pretty much every game is either outsourced or a localization.

Nope. That would be Supervision. But they are co-developing it, so that means they have there own devs on those games.

This sounds identical to recent baseless forum speculation, in addition, which means that someone just regurgitated that and this is not true information.

The one thing we can say is that there are multiple form factors, and anyone making up information can ground their "report" in that knowledge, and make up the rest.

The handheld/terminal thing first leaked 2 years ago. But this report is talking about account systems, this is not something a dev would have interest in; it is also a more simplistic report on what we already know is coming, a multi-device account system that includes mobile and PC.

in other words: the report is FAKE.

Not entirely true. Co-development can range from having a team work on games with another developer, Treasure and G Rev on Ikaruga, to doing all the main design work but having a outsourced developer do the grunt work, like what usually happens with outsourced KH games, to just a important member supervising like the Sonic Rival series where Iizuka just checked in.
