70-75 mil I'd say, which is not too bad considering Apple and Samsung have obliterated the HH market. I think the real question is will PSV get anywhere near what 3DS has done thus far.

In what way is that the real question? We all know the answer to that, just like we know the answer to "will wiiu get anywhere near what ps4 has done so far".

Simply no. It will probably end up around 70m.

3DS at end of 2015. will probably have around 57-58m, so you expecting around 2-3m LT!?

Wasn't it up YOY as of September in the US? |
Mainly thanks to new models being introduced this year.
Software sales are down considerably in the U.S. for the Nintendo 3DS.
When this year is said and done I'd be surprised if this year of sales in the U.S. was notably higher than the prior year.
Also it's worth noting that sales are very low in the U.S., especially if you compare to DS and align launches.

If we attack all Sony fans and make them submit to the holy company of Nintendo, then yes. We shall be victorous and defeat the PS4.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.
It will be close.

Yep but does that somehow discredit sales? Like they don't count because it's from a remodel?
This is true but at the same time this year was lacking in notable releases compared to 2014. It started strong with the Zelda+Monster Hunter combo then it had small, relatively unknown titles like Fossil Fighters & Codename STEAM, Xenoblade 3D is just available on a small fraction of the overall install base. Summer had no notable releases then the last few months of the year consisted of mid-size spinoffs of popular franchises like Happy Home Designer, Triforce Heroes, Super Mystery Dungeon.
2p14 wasn't amazing but it started with Bravely Default which did pretty well then it had new installments of well known characters like Yoshi & Kirby then Tomodachi ended up being a surprise big hit, then the holidays had Smash Bros+mainline Pokemon which are 2 of Nintendo's biggest franchises.
Being lower than previous handhelds doesn't make 3DS dead.

Of course it doesn't.
But here is the thing, In America the DS sold in 11.75 million units in 2008, in 2009 the DSi launched and sales for the year increased to 13.06m.
Here with the 3DS the console sold in 2.41 million units in 2014 and for the first 9 months of 2015 the console has sold in 1.5 million units.
Software sales are down as well. Hardware isn't selling anywhere near the rate the DS was at this point (when aligned) so it makes the 3DS very much dead at this point. Revenue from handheld gaming software is <3% of the overall market where as tablet and smartphone revenue is more than 25% of the total market in the U.S.
You suddenly think 2016 is going to be bigger than 2015 without the release of another new SKU or something? Because the only reason 3DS didn't decline this year is because of New 3DS.
