This is one reason I'm afraid of PC gaming. I know that once I get a capable one I'll have a backlog of about 300 games within the year haha.
OP-
Grand total of $858 when trade ins are factored. All prices listed with tax included. Welcome to Canada. One of my resolutions is actually to spend less on gaming, because as a student, I'm looking at that $850 and really kicking myself
PS4:
Batman Arkham Knight Bundle - $500
Driveclub - $20
Everybody's Gone to the Rapture - $20
Far Cry 4 - $20
Metal Gear Solid V - $80
Destiny season pass + The Taken King - $75
The Witcher 3 - $65
Final Fantasy VII - $10
Journey - $5
Outlast - $5
Slender The Arrival - $4
The Walking Dead Season 1 - $5
PS plus memberships (3 X 3 months) - $54
Fallout 4 - $85
The Order 1886 - $20
Miscellaneous (avatars/themes) - $10
subtotal: $978
PS3:
Battlefield 4 - $15
The Walking Dead Season 1 - $15
Okami HD - $5
Dead or Alive Last Round - $40
Gran Turismo 6 - $30
Square Enix Action Pack - $30
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - $5
Heavy Rain - $10
Need for Speed Most Wanted - $10
Dead or Alive 5 - $10
Bioshock 2 - $10
subtotal = $180
Before trades factored in = $1158
Saved about $300 I'm guessing (probably being generous.
New total of $858
I want to say that's it but I might be wrong. Yea those brand new Canadian game prices are absolute bullshit. If I lived in the USA I would have spent about $250 less for the same list
New PC : 1400 freedom dollars
Witcher 3 : 70 freedom dollars
Metal gear solid 5: free
Dark souls 2: 40 freedom dollars
Fallout 4 : 80 freedom dollars
Bloodborne: 40 freedom dollars
Borderlands multi pack: 50 freedom dollars
Few ios games: 10 freedom dollars

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.
around $1000. bought new 3Ds xl, plus day one buy of Wii U games mostly. and several 3ds, PS3 and PS4 games.

Around $600 which is crazy since I've never had a non pirated game in my life before I got my ps4. I used to think that paying $3 for a game was expensive af.
Considering how large my backlog still is, I don't purchase very many games anymore. This year, I was given Splatoon and Yoshi's Wooly World, and I purchased the following for $71.25 total:
Gargoyles (Gen)
Final Fantasy VII (PS1)
Spyro (PS1)
Rhythm Heaven (DS)
Exit DS (DS)
Humble Nindie Bundle
The most I've ever spent in 1 year is about $350

What if your main hobby is a rock collection.
I'm quite sure no one would be happy knowing they'd spend hundreds of dollars for rocks.

12/22/2016- Made a bet with Ganoncrotch that the first 6 months of 2017 will be worse than 2016. A poll will be made to determine the winner. Loser has to take a picture of them imitating their profile picture.
All on PS4
I'm looking forward to PSVR, Nintendo NX and around 20 PS4 games coming out in 2016
