Got it for Christmas, still need to beat the first one...

You've had since 1996......😉

I bought it a couple of weeks ago, haven't played it yet though because i'm playing through dragon age inquisition. I will play it soon and with all the positive reviews i expect it to be better than TR 2013 which itself was a very good game.

Got it, beat it, and loved it. Kinda mad at how poorly it did on Xbox One. Might be my game of the year.

Now I am sure that ROTR is a very good game in its own right but I see a few more things that annoy me.... one fight is a pure rip-off of a fight in TLOU and needlessly so.

I've seen that " Last fight is a ripoff of TLOU" comment lots of times. I mean every time somebody tried to criticize RotTR. I played TLoU and the fight didn't seem that original to me when I played it. What makes TLoU's ELLIE vs Creepy Guy fight so original?

As I said, it is all about the context. Lara is after killing hundreds of men as muscular and well built as "K", but all of a sudden she needs to approach a fight like she is a small girl fighting a fully grown man....

In TLOU, you were playing as the girl you were meant to be protecting.... there was a lot at stake and the odds were stacked against her. The result of losing for Ellie was a lot more nefarious than what would happen to Lara.

I mean... Lara gets a bullet or quick death but Ellie... raped and killed and then most probably eaten and death would probably be slower knowing that freak!

By your descriptions, based on context, they sound pretty different.

When I played TLoU, I snuck up on that guy and hit him with enough stealth attacks to finally kill him. In RotTR, the guy takes all of Lara's weapons. I just made some explosives out of what was laying around and blew his ass up.

To me, it was no different than any number of games that didn't allow a full frontal assault. Might as well have been the Mr. Freeze vs Batman fight in Arkham City, for all I cared.

Hopefully the PS4 can save this game. Microsoft and SE sent this game to its doom with that deal and also that stupid idea of releasing the week in which they did. Sony could be the light at the end of the tunnel for Lara Croft.

Add me if you want but let me know youre from this website

I'll grab it if it's both a good port and not full price. I grabbed Fallout 4 over on GMG for £26 this winter and it released the same time as TR and even then on Steam it was at least 20% off.

That said I imagine both PC and PS4 will give good numbers for the game.

Im so sad that this game is being treated like a third rate whore honestly...

It is a shame that even Xbox guys are looking past this gem.

People, we should support the industry when they treat us right. This is a game that should be supported by everyone.

If you dont have a X1, buy it for PC this january. If you have a Ps4, dont miss it next holidays.

40 $ guys.

I support the industry enough believe me... but when two companies conspire to prevent a game where the previous one came out on my platform... I dont see why I should provide support to them.

I may decide to play it next year on PS4, only if its cheap enough, I certainly wont be rushing out to get it, that's their reward for *treating me right* as a consumer.
