How many did people actually want to play? 4? The was mario kart, super smash bros, splatoon and xenoblade. Maybe I'm missing something, but that's all I can remember. Not to mention, how many games came to those 3 platforms that will never come to wiiU? A lot.

To be fair, they do point out that they're letting the Wii U have every "crappy flash game indie" on it's list because it's the holidays and Nintendo had a rough year...

But to count stuff like Freedom Planet when it released on PC first? o_O

I'm a bit confused as to the criteria for an exclusive though. I'm presuming they're referring to 8th gen home console exclusive? That would explain why 3DS and Vita games are counted as Wii U exclusives. I'm also confused as to why Gears of War's remake is omitted while Uncharted Collection isn't?

But those games are from a alst gen system, the video seems to be talking about current gen exclusives, imo all last gen remakes/remasters should be excluded.

No doubt the arbitrary limitations and delineation lines drawn up by this story are bogus but so too is the suggestion that Nintendo contracts such exclusivity for indies.  It is in fact quite the opposite.  They've been pretty vocal about wanting indies to take their games to all platforms.

Why would any indie that have great evaluation would stay exclusive to Nintendo when Nintendo themselves say that they should release everywhere?

yeah but they are exclusive on PlayStation platforms like PS3 and Vita. PS4 obviously has still the best performing versions, they are also often times physical and only released in the west on PS4.

The video in question is looking at only true exclusives meaning that the game in that form (this allows collections of old games to count) does not appear on any other platform.  Under those rules there seem to be 12 true exclusives on PS4 last year.  

Rules that were molded to favour the author opinion. "mid-tier PC exclusive... anything on WiiU (even if not exclusive)"

For me:

Wii U had 6 exclusives.
PC had 1.
PS4 had 6.
XB1 had 2.
