That doesn't matter. Nintendo is a multibillion dollar corperation who had a great launch for it's new product. Directs aren't made in a day. They probably planned this direct for at least a month before it aired. They aren't going to go into panic mode and make 4 rushed announcements after less than a month of falling sales from a great launch, which is what is being assumed here.

It makes perfect sense. You're saying something is possible only because you're assuming that the man in charge is lying about a game not being in developent, just like someone would have to assume that Itoi is lying about not wanting to make Mother 4 for Mother 4 to be possible.

Metroid Prime producer says Metroid Prime 4 is not in development, yet that somehow translates to "he could just be lying and we'll see the game next year at E3" to you. It's "possible."

You comparing series from which last game was released in 2006. for handheld  and which director said he dont want Mother 4 and series that only is skipping a generation on what developers already said they "Planning A Future For Both 2D And 3D Metroid".

Not exactly same thing, also maybe Itoi is lying too, maybe he actually is working on Mother 4 but he wants to surprise fans. We ll know how Nintendo love to make surprises.
