I don't think so. In 2016 they will focus on the 3DS successor because it will launch at the year's end. They have Federation Force in development, so I don't think they have another handheld Metroid in development. At E3 we will probably just see a small NX tease because it will launch in 2017. Then at E3 2017 we might get a Metroid NX announcement for either a launch title or a year one title.

I would love to see a 2D metroid game for the 3DS to be honest no that federation trash.

At that point it was selling well. It was the January after launch, and the Wii U had a strong launch. They weren't panicing at all.

Terrible WIi U sales start right after holiday season, it start with January, in that first quarter Wii U had WW sales of only 160k.

You do realize that there is still not single info is saying that NX is come in 2017. and that evre info we getting points for 2016. launch!? Last was few days ago from Nintendo president where he talked about 2016. plans, first thing he talked after IPs is NX, and he did not mentioned at all Wii U/3DS.

So no, at E3 there will not be small NX tease, it will be full blown up playable NX games.

If VGchartz's data is accurate, then the original Wii did better than the WiiU in Jan 2013.

Yes we are, but again you totally ignoring fact that Nintendo president in his talk about 2016. Nintendo plans did not mentioned at all Wii U/3DS but he talked about NX.

Sooooo you think that massive production for a console coming in late 2017 would start in Q1 2016 ?? if not to get the highest tech it would be smarter to start producing it as near to the launch as possible so that the price of the components are as low as possible...
