PC and PS4 will get Rise of the Tomb Raider next year after Xbox360 and the 'Bone had it for a while now.

Do you think SquareEnix should offer something exclusive to those two platforms to compensate the wait for the game? Would it be good business?

Or should they just release their platform versions and be done with it?

Xbox360 and Xbone gamers, would you care if Square gives extra content to any platforms which you won't receive for the copy you bought?

I dunno, I mean recently PC got Helldivers and GG Xrd, the only slight differences with those was slight price cuts and the world kept on spinning, I imagine the same will happen with Dragons Dogma, there is no way Capcom are going to slightly up the game just for PC users which will likely mean they are planning for a current gen release which in the end means there would be no unique compensation (especially since PC had to wait 3 years for that game =P).

Sometimes a form of compensation can net you a purchase but other times it can also create a bit of a bad rift, especially in terms of trying to be fair with the bases you try to pander to.



Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

They're under a contract, right? I doubt they will break it. 

They could offer a bit of free dlc to sweeten the pot for anyone wanting it on the other platforms but for me, I'll get the game once it releases on the PS4 regardless of it's price or what it comes with. I like the tomb raider games and that's reason enough to buy one of the games. I can understand why SE made that deal with MS at the time so I won't hold it against 'em.

If all the DLC has been released prior to the PS4 version, just releasing a "complete" or "game of the year" edition as the standard PS4 release could make up for the year delay. Depending on the publishing agreement between Square Enix and Microsoft, SE could also re-release the Xbox One version with all the DLC and patches at the same time.

Wait a second, I read Fear_Me_All post without realizing he meant "now". I read it Square releasing a complete version afterwards.

I imagine the PS4 release will coincide with a GOTY edition that includes all DLC.
