Xenoblade Chronicles X.

That game is just addicting to play, and being able to do so much in a huge world to explore in, while listening to some upbeat tunes is amazing.

My runner ups are Splatoon, Undertale, and MGSV.

Fallout 4; honorary mention to Mario Maker

I do think some of the other choices are very deserving though objectively. I just happen to be a major Fallout fan so as long as they don't totally screw it up I always pick iterations of it for my Game of the Year (although if you count Bioshock for 2008 then that was pretty competitive with Fallout 3 for me)
