I can see Nintendo porting a complete version w/ all DLC and enhanced graphics on the NX like you've said but it's hard to see them continuing to support the game when Sakurai said in one of the directs that the Smash team is going to be disbanded after the last batch of DLC is finished (also, I think Sakurai needs to finally get some surgery on his bad shoulder and some rest).

Nah, I think that when they said development on Smash 4 was finished after they got Corrin and Bayonetta out the door, they really, really meant it.

Nah, now that Smash Wii U is pretty much complete, they'll probably get around to Smash 5 once the time is right.

It'll be interesting to see where the Smash franchise will head into the future after February 2016. With the NX being revealed in 2016, who knows what will happen since all we can go by is hints based on patents and interviews by Iwata, Kimishima, and others at Nintendo. It would be great for people who want buy the game at its current state without having to deal with paying extra for the DLC. Plus, I don't see Smash 5 coming for about 4-5 years or so because of how it's developed, whether Sakurai sticks around or not. If there is a Smash 5 in the future, I hope Sakurai takes on a more advisory or producer role for the sake of his health.

Well, that's fine because I can still play on the Wii U if I need to :p

But, he definitely deserves a break, so it's not really a big issue if it comes out late in the next console's life..

I'm thinking it'll be the 3DS+Wii U versions+all the DLC all available.

I could see them re-release the game ala Last of Us and GTAV. However, additional DLC may be a stretch, considering that the DLC team will disband once February 2016 rolls on. Plus, Sakurai and his team needs a break at this point.

Yes I belive they should, also they should port Mario Kart 8 (adding new content).

What people don't seem to realize is that Smash Bros for NX will NOT be out when NX launches. It's the same reasoning when people say Zelda will be pushed back for NX because it could release 2016...

And?

Both of these games will be out at least 3 years before we see their next incarnation, plenty of time to play the game with all of its content released.

In exactly what ways can Smash be "enhanced" anyways? It's 1080p 60fps. They may change the lighting and add effects but honestly, I don't see Nintendo doing that at all.
