Forums - Sales - Pretty amazing that Xenoblade beat both new releases of Just Cause 3 and Rainbow Six this past week!

Thats a hell of a good opening for a game like this on WiiU in Germany btw. Just Cause is higher there though.

I think its more that Just cause 3 seems to have floped. Wich is worrying because it had no DLC BS and Pre-order crap.
I do think Just cause will have good legs.

With that said, its not bad for Xenoblade X. Its around the ballpark of the original. It deserves so much more though.

I hope the actual numbers stay 200k+, I have faith in X, the game is good, it deserves to sell well, also it MUST get better legs than XC...

Didn't realize Just Cause 3 was out already. Will see about it once price drops.

Those games are facing heavy competition from black ops 3 and Star Wars battlefront. The wii u on the other hand hasn't had a good release in months. Doesn't mean Xenoblade sold poorly, but it's not the kind of underdog story you're trying to make it be.

in terms of marketing and other varyting factors it is really impressive

Just Cause 3 and Rainbow Six have been talked about and frankly I expected better openings for them (despite the competition)

yeah I'm particularly shocked about Just Cause 3, the series has a great reputation and this one looked pretty good in the previews. yikes :O I get the feeling maybe something that had to do with it that their developer isn't giant enough to compete with marketing likes of Call of Duty, Fallout, Battlefront, etc. so it just wasn't in the mind of some gamers; hopefully good word of mouth spurs consistent sales

How about we wait for the official numbers first? These threads prove to be pointless when we get numbers from NPD. Isn't Bayo 2 massively overtracked and wasn't there a thread last year celebrating how well it's doing?

Same reason I don't join the vita celebrations of games crossing 1m sold. For all we know they're also overtracked. There have been too many cases of numbers being off to be so naive at this point.

No games make me happier than Splatoon and Xenoblade doing well on wiiu since I'm personally tired of old Ninty ips and these games are a breathe of fresh air. They're also good games that deserve (imo) good sales. Just wait a month or two to be sure. That's all I'm saying.

Wait for "official" numbers from NPD?They are also estimates.Just because they are more trustworthy dont make them official.Well, anyway, let people be.This is great news nevertheless, for even if the numbers arent 100% accurate, I hardly believe that is wrong by more than 25%, which would still make the numbers impressive.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It's overtracked in the US, but undertracked in Europe ( in France at least), so that evens things out a bit.

Why is overtracked in US?Do you have a source? And its not undertracked in France. It did 40k in a bit less than 2 weeks. And the sales of the week just takes 2 days of release.Plus the sales for France has not been published yet in vgchartz
